Finally received my long awaited Goldeneye Device made by Marc (aka shadowrunner).
Really one of the best prop replica to add to my meager collection.

    Do ya have ZERO Halliburton for the device already?

    Just noticed that unfinished SOLEX..wow -{

    Mate, You're too modest saying your collection is meager, we all know you've been hiding that jet-pack of yours :v

    Don't know the model number, but if i recall right
    they made that case from the mid 80's till early 90's -{
    And it wasn't standard Halliburton, but modified one.

    Regarding that Solex prototype shell - it is just my paperweight now. The dimensions and other finer details have since been corrected for final prototype.

    Yes, Teppo, I do have the Zero case for my GE Device including this plaque. However, the case is now burried pretty deep and it will take me some effort to get it out - you know the wait had been a while.

    Hopefully my GE Device will be awaiting me on my return to UK, it looks awesome and wellworth the wait. Teppo drop Marc an email, you may be in luck. WRT to the access cards, a run may happen, I'm talking to a well known fabricator about them.

    aw no, you got the battery compartment on the wrong side! ;)

    looks real nice kan, my only true critisism would be the crystal has too many fascets and is slightly too light in colour. very very minor though mate, i'm more jealous than critical.

    The sizing should be 100% accurate. Over all, I think it is a great piece - we will see if FE will actually produce this piece.
    If they do, I am sure it won't be machined and will be cast. Will be interesting to see.

    nah kan, totally agree, we'll never see this level of detail or accuracy in mass manufactured items.

    or will we?

    i hear a gauntlet hitting the floor somewhere.......

    Just so everyone knows...Marc contacted me a few years ago with an interest to replicate this prop as I had taken detailed photographs and measurements from the original prop.

    His replica is as close to the real thing as ANYONE can get it.

    No need to throw down "the Gauntlet" the next best thing to this IS the original prop!!!

    It CAN'T get any better than this.

    Granted, it took a few years to get this prop to fruition but, as I've said all along, the wait will be worth it if they "pull it off" and let me say that indeed...Marc and Russ "NAILED IT"

    Holding Marc's replica took me back and it was as if i were once again standing in EON's Archives holding the original again.

    MAGNIFICENT job and KUDOS to them both.

    think you missed the point ed, the gauntlet comment was more aimed at FE.

    imo, mass manufactured affordable props for the masses is never gonna be as high a quality as items made on a small scale basis.

    and to be honest, having the SD info on the GE device, i'd expect nothing less than screen accurate.

    like i said before, i'm more jealous that i dont have one than i am critical of a very very minor error.

    How come I am more interested in the Solex…seems nice…is it simple that as time goes I hate pierce brosnan movies more and more…don’t know but no question that it is really really nice work…and the biggest compliment from Ed

    I got the point, Jeff...I'm saying there's no need for them (FE) or anyone to even bother to attempt to do it better.

    Jeff, in re-reading your posting I think I may have misunderstood...I do agree that any items that prop replicators make are far superior to the mass produced versions for obvious reasons.

    aye ed, personally i feel people on here make stunning stuff, mainly for one main reason - they have a genuine interest in what they're making.

    top marks to kan and co!
