Hello Everyone,
I haven't posted for a while, as I have been very busy with the restoration of the OHMSS DBS. The engine is now completed, and ready to install into the restored engine compartment.
I had to borrow a special engine hoist with a long boom, as the DB 6 cylinder engine is so long and tall! All hands will be on deck for this install.
On a similar vein, the Thunderball DB5 (road car from GF) is for sale, and the estimates are for GBP 6M!!!
Here is a link a fellow AMOC member posted, enjoy!

The David Brown era Astons will forever be associated with James Bond, and now the DBS models are going up through the roof.
To all of our OHMSS fans out there, if you are interested in every buying a DBS, do not wait too long, as there were only 789 produced, which is less than a DB5, an many of them were scrapped to donate their engines to a DB5 during the 1970s and 1980s. Classic cars go thru their cycles, I recall passing up a ratty DB5 in 1981 for $15K. Yup, still kicking myself, but I was in high school at the time, and a tatty E-Type was $2500, which I bought and just pretended that it was an AM.
If anyone is interested in a DBS, pls PM me, and I would be glad to offer any advice, and even inspect the car, as I have a very intimate knowledge of the DBS models. I did one inspection for a fellow Aston owner, and saved him a bundle of money by discovering rust and no original bodgering.
Thank you for all of the kind responses, and I have received a few PMs even! I hope to, by early next year, share the project with my fellow Bond collectors. There are plans to bring the car to the Aston Martin 100th Anniversary events in 2013, and even have George Lazenby present at our unveiling party some time in 2011.
Cheers, GG
