  someone bid 2.5 straight
  countered by someone at 2.6mil
  
  then 20mins of moronic goading by simpleton auctioneer
  
  how not to sell an icon
  
  but nothing compared to the sale of the gear knob 5 mins later
  
  it went for 10,000 Gbp plus premium
  
  sounds good until u realize that the buyer paid 41,000 only 3yrs ago

  I really thought it would have attracted more bidders.
  
  As auction items go, this had a stunning press build up, and all it attracted were two bidders who didn't go anywhere with it. Really does not sound right.

  Strange only two bidders and the time allowed to pass in the auction. They had to think more people would be interested. I'm surprised the car didn't go for more.
