Sunspel - Made in England?

Are all Sunspel clothing made in England? my polo neglects to tell me where it is made - isnt it illegal to detain the "made in..." sign on all clothing?

    They have a factory at Long Eaton near Nottingham so I suppose the stuff's made inside it....

    it doesnt matter where the flagship store is, i mean ralph lauren flagship store is in NYC but the polos they sell are all made in china/phillies/bolivia etc

    im reading that sunspel is "based in england..." "fine makers of british clothing since..."

    wouldntit be better if it just put made in england on its shirts?

    Perhaps knowing that the factory is in Long Eaton near Nottingham - as I pointed out in post #5 - is enough for most purchasers to work out that "the makers of fine British clothing" does mean made in England?

    I own several polos and t-shirts from sunspel and on the tags it reads "Made in England"

    They used to say it very clearly on the label. But in the last few months they removed the statement.

    Wouldn't be surprised if they were preparing to source production from overseas. :(

    Hmm - I just recieved more Sunspel stuff but not noticed if they have changed label, will check!

    On another note I recieved one Riviera Black Sunspel Polo and another in Bond Blue!! I carefully handwashed both in the same water and hung them up to dry (identical conditions).

    My black one has shrunk and the Navy one has not!! I dont understand this at all and pretty pissed as it is brand new though glad the balck one was the one which shrunk)

    Anybody experienced this?

    That was cool thanks. Sunspel is about 7mins 20 sec into the vid, and the factory is close to where I'm from originally. Nice to hear some local accents.

    In the UK you do not have to state where the garment is made (unlike the USA).
