Would you like to see Sean Connery as Bond again?

He's one the most accomplished actors of his generation and has had a lot of great, hit films since "Never Say Never Again". His role in "The Rock" was better than Dalton and Brosnan's terms as Bond IMO. In the Authorized Biography of Bond, Bond is revealed to be a working agent late in his life and living with Honey Rider. Both Sean AND Ursula Andress are alive, healthy and good-looking. I think it would be marvelous and revolutionary to set a film in the future, if just for one installment, featuring the two characters that set the series in motion. I think its a rare opportunity having Sean Connery still alive and working AND even more popular than ever. Its something that should be considered in the next decade before Sean passes on.

I point to Sean because he is the first, most iconic and most popular Bond. And sadly, Lazenby is forgotten to the general public, Moore is in rather frail shape and Dalton is very unpopular with the casual Bond audience. Also, Sean deserves a fitting swansong after NSNA and the unpopular DAF (even though I love DAF :D ).

    IMHO, Sir Sean to many IS James Bond, and to whom every other actor is measured playing the role.But like Fleming's Novels Bond shouldn't age(too much).Every Actor should do his four or five Bond films then Let the Other guy take over This way every decade would have its own Bond. -{

    If not carrying a whole film I'd love to see a story told by a reminiscing James. Or set in multiple time periods so the Young Bond franchise can be explained to the film fans as well. I know it is a sort of "out there" idea. But if the film producers ever want to utilize past actors, they should do it soon. If they've got the guts to restart the continuity/create a prequel, they may just go for the idea of looking into James' future. Like you said, he's always going to be aged 30 to 45. So it would a nice one-off to see where he eventually ends up after the series is over... which it never will be. ;) I think thats what Never Say Never Again was trying to be with his retirement at the end. But that movie is not even officially a Bond film and not even a very great climax for the character.

    Well Connery is retired now, even for cameos, so this wouldn't happen. I know what you're saying but he's too old even for Pearson's book, but he would do a good reminsicing type role of the kind Peter O'Toole does, not sure who would be the young actor as Colin Farrell is much shorter.

    I'd liked to have seen Connery back as Bond in the hiatus, early 1990s with stellar studio backing, the Aston Martin, where was Kevin McClory then?
