Magnoli Madagascar Pants

I see that Magnoli has a version of the pants Bond wore in Madagascar near the beginning of CR. I know that the original screen used pants were made by the same people that made the shirt, and I was wondering if anybody had gotten a pair that they could compare to Indy's version.

I see that they are drawstring pants, but I don't see belt loops, and I thought that Bond was wearing a belt in that segment of the movie.

They are drawstring pants and he uses a belt. You could ask Magnoli to sew on some belt loops.

Does anyone know which belt Craig uses in this scene?
Is it Prada? Brown? Silver buckle?

No belt loops on the original. The belt wasn't to hold up his pants. ;)

    Kind regards,

Just to hold his holster then? I suppose that makes sense, I always wondered why there were drawstrings AND a belt.

Indy, if you could only recreate the Jack Purcell OTRs as well.

I'll look into the JPs, though doing a perfect replica will almost certainly not be possible due to the specific rubber toe/sole set-up.

    Kind regards,
    Magnoli

What is the belt made of? Black leather with plain silver buckle? Prada?

Or is the belt brown leather?

    Or is it flexible nylon?

Or is it a web belt?

It looks most like a black web belt with a silver buckle. You can get the standard military versions off of Amazon for dirt cheap. I would've said brown to match his shoes, but web belts typically come in black, army green, white, navy blue and sand. I suppose he didn't need to be too image conscious with his gun belt.

He's definitely wearing a black web belt during the Madagascar chase. You can see it at several points throughout the scene:

This is true but there is a shot of the trousers when he draws the p99 when the belt is gone...

    http://screenmusings.org/CasinoRoyale/pages/CR_0131.htmStunt man?

I posted a suggestion for some pants in another thread. I noticed that linen pants are often "Dry Clean Recommended" to "Dry Clean Only". My wife said this is probably due to the thin material not handling the common washer/dryer well.

I also posted a question about having a pair MADE by a Hong Kong (or other overseas) tailor, as some of the websites I've seen give a standard 34" unhemmed inseam, and are EXPENSIVE.

    http://screenmusings.org/CasinoRoyale/pages/CR_0174.htm
Thin material, but a light press would make these look good (though wrinkles seem to be in, according to the GQ I was reading yesterday).

Please advise. I am fairly heat intolerant nowadays, but love the idea of a quality pair of pants I can work in the sun in, especially if my job keeps me here in Italy, or moves me back to Southern California.

Agree with you on the belt, BUT... the standard width of a Military belt like this is 1-1/4 inches. The belt that Craig is wearing appears a bit widder then that. However, if you look on eBay there are a couple of sellers with this belt in a 1-1/2 inch width.

I know this is an old subject but I am interested in getting a pair of these and I'm not sure that Magnoli offers the SA colour. Can somebody quickly confirm the SA colour? Thanks for your patience.
