Who do you think was the worst miss moneypenny? I think samantha Bond

    I would have agreed if Sam Bond's only film was Goldeneye and I am sorry, she came off as a total be-yatch. She did a pretty good job in her later films, especially with the awful dialogue she was often stuck with. I was also tempted to say Caroline Bliss but she did a good job in Licence To Kill, a huge step up from the ditz who loves Barry Manilow. 8-) I guess the worst was the chick from Never Say Never Again but really, it's a very short preformance that gave no real chance for some interaction between her and Bond.

    I have enjoyed all the Moneypennys in the series. Pamela Salem's "Penney" in NSNA was perhaps the weakest entrant but her part was terribly small and underwritten. Lois Maxwell remains my favorite for sentimental reasons. She was first, she was there the longest, and man,
    could she ever banter. "You never take me to dinner looking like that. You never take me dinner."

    Bond: Moneypenney. A feast for my eyes.

    When I read the novels, it is always the young Lois Maxwell I envision and always will. ;% :x

    She might have. She was always griping that they didn't pay her enough money, and there was surely only one more film to go with Moore. She did ask Connery about it, maybe half jokingly, and he said they couldn't use the character - which was probably true at the time of asking.

    Bliss was hardly in LTK!

    Out of the "official" Moneypenny's Bliss was EASILY the most forgettable. She was barely in 2 films, appearing only briefly in LTK. It wasn't exactly her fault as the scripts never allowed her character to grow but, lets face it, when you think of Monneypenny you don't think of her.

    Louis Maxwell first with Samantha Bond (she had to have been chosen partly due to her name) a very close second.

    In regard to the "bi-yatch" remark, I don't really agree. Her and Brosnan had a great scene. She was sassy just like Ms Maxwell but also satisfied the feminists by being "independent". You could really tell Bond and Brosnan (hehe) got on well.

    For me they are all bad. I never liked the scenes in the office before Bond enters M's chamber. Caroline Bliss was the worse by a mile though. I would say I prefer Samantha Bond to the rest, at least she got her own persona (DAD excluded) and wasn't just an eager lay with a schoolgirl crush. I also think Louis Maxwell gave her best performances and with Connery.

    It must have been sort of a joke. NSNA was pretty much Connery's middle fingle to EON so for Maxwell to appear it would have been kind of low.

    But to do be fair, I hated the total opposite of what she became in Die Another Day. We all know "that" scene. Lord have mercy. :s

    I agree. I thought most men could see through her PC barrier - she just took a bit more control rather than swooning pathetically over Bond. I got the impression she was just a tougher nut to crack, a little more of a challenge.

    Samantha Bond, definitely. She looked awful for the part, and acted terribly. The way she "tried" to play the character during scenes with 007 were a shocker, and the way she treated him was just ridiculous.

    Lois Maxwell and Caroline Bliss were both great.

    Samantha Bond. I didn't find her all that attractive, and she definitely grated on the nerves. She seemed more a smarmy rival for Bond than a supportive "girl next door" type with a crush on him.
