Since there is a little interest in these rare guns, here is my current collection

The "Quest" does come with its own book, extra mags, pin, knife, etc. - the package is just stored so well that it will take me too long to fish it out.
Enjoy -{

    Is there a Bond connection?

In Gardner's novels, James Bond uses the ASP starting in his fourth book Role of Honour

Most definitely. It was carried by John Gardener's Bond starting in 1984 with Role of Honor. He continued to carry it except for a couple of exceptions to the end of Gardener's reign. A great gun! I have one too, but Kan has two and other ASP gear, a great collection.

    Hey Kan
This is superb buddy. The ASP is one of the few things Gardner got right. Top notch collecting.

I need a close up picture of the "use of force" pulse logo used by ASP. Does anyone have one?

I do have that pin - but it is in my "Quest" Book/Storage Box which is still tucked away. Please give me time and I can do a nice shot for you. OK DG?

Very cool, I always liked the ASP and the Devel versions. its a shame that you dont see the craftsmen like this in the gun world anymore. everything has to be plastic and if someone is customizing a handgun its a 1911. oh well great pics guys

Thanks for posting that ASP. I can appreciate the artistry that goes into gun engraving, gold inlays, and nickle plating so I can't dismiss the gun out of hand. Nevertheless, I think the ASP is one of those guns that looks best with the black teflon-s, or some other subdued color.

On that note, I've been wanting to have my ASP 9mm re-coated in teflon-s. Josh Bulman (Bulman Gunleather) gave me contact information for a company that does the teflon-s. They have various colors, but I was thinking of going with the satin black with perhaps matte black or flat black accents. You posted a picture some time ago with one done in olive green. Can you post it again here?

That "Quest" is a beauty. I'm still kicking myself for letting one get away from me at auction.

    Here is one of mine:

Yep, the silver beast. I liked Gardener a great deal myself. To each his own I suppose.

Here you go DG, it's one of the very early New York Theodore ASPs with alu Guttersnipe and threaded barrel for suppressor, the whole gun has been given further custom treatment and been machined to accept the newer grips....

Texas, I am indeed in the Land of Smiles...and loving every minute of it. One of my ASPs is with me here. One of them is in a safe back in the US.

    Shoot in:

    Au contraire!

That green thing is probably the most ugly piece of metal, which I have ever seen! It looks like it has been pulled out of the rear of a cow with grass diarrhea!! :))

For sure a highlight in the cabinet of horror of Asp9mm's :))

    Shoot out.
