Unfortunately I don't think I can ship these to the UK and I'd rather ship the PAK Walther PP within EUROPE only.
You can ship them to the UK, however in order to import the P99, the buyer will need to be able to avail themselves of one of the defences to the Violent Crime Reduction Act. i.e. be a regular airsoft 'skirmisher' as defined by the Home Office, a 'movie maker' etc. I don't think this applies to the blank firer. Yes, we have strange gun laws.
Hope this helps. Might be interested in the PP - is it metal?

The blank firer is highly illegal in the UK as it ports through the barrel. This has been the case way before the VCR act came into force.
The aisoft can only be imported to a dealer, not private individuals.

as ever asp is spot on.
Can I make a suggestion for a permanent section on Ajb
how about a reference section regarding dos and donts of collecting?
The first section could be on weapons, especially legality in major
jurisdictions ( UK USA germany etc ...)
this knowledge is clearly not known widely as it crops up so frequently, and may save soemone's freedom one day.
Asp and ppw wd be my votes to administer the weapons section
dg for the dos and donts of watch collecting
ed/Minigeff for prop making
mantis for clothing
bondtoys for the dos and donts of joke telling
...and I'll have my finger on the "banning-button" in your case very tight
May I suggest a section of dos and don'ts in regards of communicating with the opposite sex exclusively for ASP9mm, Paul?

Cheers Paul.
As an add on I'd like to stress on a point.... If anyone in the UK attempts to buy this PAK PP and import it, it will be seized by Customs and you WILL face at least five years imprisonment. The Government is taking a hard line with these laws and there is no leniency at all.
ere i thought i was the one who gave the lectures?
in all honesty aspy, i used to be a member of mi6.co.uk, until they were a bunch of 'tards.
it all started getting silly over there when they started a blanket ban on anyone talking about guns, whether they be airsoft, model, or real. the forum mods were so scared of anyone being liable, that they instiganted their stupid ban on free speech, which is one reason why i left there.
i know i go on about the laws etc etc, but i only show concern because a) i take my sport seriously and wouldn't want to see anyone unsuspectingly fall foul of any daft uk laws and b) i dont wanna see ajb go down the same 'we can't talk about guns in case someone claims against us' mentality.
i think ajb is the better of the 2 forums, and hope to see it stay that way.

AJB will never go down that route. Not being able to discuss guns on a James Bond website is about as stupid as you can get. Guns are as much a part of Bond as his car, name and job. It would be like discussing Batman and not being able to mention the batmobile.
As long as people are aware what you can buy and can't, that is good enough. But we must also consider that the forum owners might find themselves under scrutiny if caveats are not laid down and responsibility is accepted for certain sales threads not adhering to those laws.
while we should be able to talk freely about anything JB related, we gotta stay within the laws. i wouldnt want to be a part of, or participate in anything that could damage the reputation of the sensible and responsible UK shooting community.

And sorry ASP but the facepalm gig is precisely the type of comms goof that Bondtoys is talking about...

Seriously though, as this post shows, the confusion amongst even the most "experieinced" demonstrates we need a fixed section, very visible, which can guide ajb'rs with accurate information....
As our resident expert points out, while some find these laws strange, they are unforgiving.
Anyone know the British law to existing holders of blank firers? I hold a number of licensed weapons on FAC, but was unaware of legislation on blank firers. I own loads of different pistols of various calibres, actions and methods of porting. They were used in close protection training - I haven't even looked at them for five or six years, but was unaware there may be legislation issues here.

Come on guys, make it happen....
but would the heirarchy of AJB really put themselves in the firing line (pardon the punage).
in the worst case situation, i can see some poor sod getting nicked, and saying 'i didnt know i was doing wrong, it said i would be ok on ajb.co.uk'.
its a great idea to have a section dedicated to helping us collectors to stay inside the tight margins of the law, but it needs to be 100% accurate info, and possibly backed up with strong disclaimers.
the legal side of matters is what buggered it all up on the subject over on mi6.co.uk, no-one was prepared to stand up and do things properly, instead they took the easy 'dont say anything' option.
a response from the top of the ladder would be good to hear on this matter.

The letter of the law doesn't need disclaimers. It is totally black and white to every letter (unless you need the disclaimer that not adhering to the law could end up with a prison sentence). It is that law that needs communicating in a straightforward and easy to understand format and with easy access available in a sticky at the top of this forum.
I'm currently writing it up and am communicating with ppw to make it idiot proof. Yeah, that means even Bondtoys will understand.

good points mg, and I've been in touch with upstairs already.
As asp says, it's pretty black and blue.
As I suggested asp and ppw are the only ones on here I'd trust
to make this user friendly yet helpful without putting anyone
on the hook.
Stick to ur glue gun mg - btw is that covered by the new laws ?

I would suggest that once a thread about guns is closed, unless it is very interesting, if it's a normal sale, I would consider deleting it. US authorities would be less worried if there was only a few transactions on the board than if they find 80.

I can assure you I'm well-versed in the VCRA. As I said above, I didn't think it applied to the blank firer; on which I didn't commit any advice.

no offense meant, so apols if you've taken it.
I cd have picked several comments on this thread which
were vague and may have led someone into prison.
