In reply to these posts and ke02eww MI6 Agent - we will never see the cinema Bond in a Bentley because the film character is so tied to the Aston as an icon. However, I do feel that if they had translated the character faithfully to the films, you would have never seen the Aston after Goldfinger. Bond had a thing for Bentleys, which is why he kept buying them. In the novel Goldfinger, he only chose the Aston out of the car pool because he was going undercover as the type of man who would be driving one. Would he like today's Bentley?
Hard to say, though it seems that he prefered the much older "used" models and enjoyed having a body shop tailor the outer shells to his personal eye for design. If anyone would like to see the film character still owning one, then I think the public would accept it if it was shown that it is what he drives around when at home, but is given the armoured Astons when going abroad. I wish they would do a film that shows a good portion of his mission taking place in England with a small bit of Bond at his flat (they did it in LALD, but the whole scene was played for laughs). It would be great seeing him leaving his flat and getting into his car (even if it were a harried action type scene done in an emergency), and driving (or getting chased) through or outside London. As I said, we'll never see it as they had Craig winning his personal Aston in CR.
Not Bentley vs Aston Martin related, but it would be nice to see Bond "reintroduced" or featured wearing a Rolex in the next outing.
Perhaps if Q is featured in the next film it might be something provided with a very basic special ability - like a built in Geiger meter or something practical but still "Bondish".
It would not only showcase the brand to a younger crowd once again, but could nod as tribute to the older films. Time and money will tell.
Bond would never wear a Philip Patek. Personally I like the Omega, I own a blue SMP and I hardly ever take it off. I have spoke with many jewelers that all say the Omega is the better timepiece. I hope to get a PO or Speedmaster in the near future. But part of me says you can't turn your back on the original, that be the Submariner.

I like both Rolex and Omega, own a Speedmaster Professional and hope to get a Submariner next year. I think Omega is definately up to the job, particularly with the rubber strapped Planet Ocean. I also think that the company that was trusted by the Apollo astronauts would be considered as good enough by Bond
