Wow, splendid! I thought, that the ski holders (Skihalter) where just a one-off for the FYEO Lotus. Did you make them yourself or have they been available at Lotus?

By the way: How much motor oil are you refilling for 5000 km. My Esprit used to leak like ASP9mm is dribbling, when he sees another gun ;)

    Cheers guys.

    Thanks for the kind words.
As some may have guessed, I am located in Germany - Here it's white and cold outside, hence I thought it might be a good opportunity to take the Esprit out.
The ski rack is made of solid wood - My plan was to use them to make a negative form and to reproduce in glassfibre.

I even found some pair of OLIN skis on ebay, here you see them with the K2

@Bondtoys: hmm, the car may need 0,5l every 5k km - but this is the chargecooled 2.2l engine from the S4s, not the original one

No doubt due to the enormous weight inflicted upon it everytime you got in, thus causing the sump to come into contact with the road surface.

well, you'll need 3 extra pillows to be able to have a view other than the dashboard :D

And if Asp9mm had a minimum knowledge about ladies and Turbo Esprits, he'd know, that being a dry-sump - concept it's highly unlikely that the sump will be touching the ground :p

Wasn't the FYEO a browny colour not bright red

Now that is too cool for school! I'll bet that 4 cylinder turbocharged engine is a ground pounder too. A giant killer so to speak.

You're right. But the car's calypso red finish is still pristine after 25 years - so I am not going to do the bronze metallic paint job.

I have thought about a foil paint job though, if I may find the right colour, as this is relatively easily to revert...

Hehe! I have blown the original engine (215hp) some years ago.
Now I have the fuel injected, chargecooled 2.2l Esprit S4s engine installed

The engine is good for ~ 265hp :v

Awesome. Part of me still wants a Lotus. I still smile when I see Moore kind of struggle to get out of the car in FYEO.
