Cheers (A shame Channel 4 doesn't repeat that now. )
Fraiser
Futurama
Family Guy (Although that's going further down the bog now.)
Home Improvement
Taxi
Some great choices there. I love Frasier (very cleverly written) as well as Futurama and FG.
I did however think that Frasier went slightly down hill in the later years (too much emphasis on Niles and Daphne - once they got together it was a good joke ruined IMO). Still a great show though. Seems to be full of those moments in which characters misunderstand certain situations with each other, I love those
Note - I'm probably rambling on as I'm logging into AJB drunk (yet again)
I agree about Frasier, though some said it went off because one of the show's founders died, being on one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center, no less. The problem was that though the actors were good mates in real life, they had no onscreen romantic chemistry at all, in fact Daphne seemed vaguely repulsed by Niles.
My fave episode is when Frasier has an evening at the theatre arranged with a newcomer at the station, said newcomer is gay and thinks it's a romantic date, while Frasier is hoping to set him up with Daphne, provoking Niles' hostility.
Ok, then I can add Star Blazers to this list. I watched it in Texas everyday after school when I was twelve. It was the most exciting show ever. (at the time) But it was definitely not American
If you liked Star Blazers Alex, then I'm pretty sure you will looooove this....
right now, ABC's CASTLE tops my list. brilliant, witty...and well...it's got Nathan Fillion, though the whole cast is fabulous. best show on TV right now, IMHO...
otherwise...
Firefly
M*A*S*H
the first couple seasons of House - it's getting too damn silly now
Hell's Kitchen - shuddup...I like watching Ramsay yell at people

This would be a GREAT high definition experience if it gets a Region 1 release!
Wow, the ship looks just the way I remembered it.
From what I've read of the film, they really went out of their way to keep the look of it true to the original cartoon (what a novel concept!). While a stateside theatrical run is probably not in the cards there are already rumblings of a Region 1 home video release some time early next year. I'd probably pick it up as well.
As to my favorite TV shows:
Classics:
Star Trek (the original, the first, the best)
Batman (Adam West and the greatest rogues gallery ever put to film)
Space: 1999 (the first season is classic; the second not so much)
Twilight Zone (if only for Horror at 20,000 Feet and The Howling Man)
Outer Limits (The Man Who Was Never Born, Demon With a Glass Hand)
Contemporary
The Walking Dead (don't know how long they can sustain it but it is entertaining)
Lost (held my attention for years but is quickly fading)
Big Bang Theory (the funniest show on TV given my sensibilities; last week's "The Justice League Recombination" was especially funny)

This is really getting me wanting to splurge on a first season set! The nostaglia would be SO STRONG on this I'd probably be ecstatic. Damn, just reading that Amazon review had me remembering certain scenes and episodes.
I couldn't find a good picture from the film. But the ship, she sure do look fine!
Alias (Can't believe NOBODY cited it yet? The best spy show ever! )
Mad Men
The West Wing
Friday Night Lights
Friends
Current ones:
White Collar (awesome show, and extremely Bondian lead in terms of charm and wit)
Mad Men, which is in the all-time list as well (it's a masterpiece IMO)
Covert Affairs (had doubts at first because it looked like a major Alias ripoff, but then it really grew on me. Piper Perabo got a Golden Globe nomination as best lead actress for it)
Royal Pains (what, I'm a girl and I LOVE the Hamptons)
and most of all...
the new, kickass and awesome Hawaii Five-0. It truly is great. They did great with casting and the writing is really good (in fact, some of the writers are from the Alias writing crew ).
Oh, I forgot The Vampire Diaries. Nope it's not teen stuff.. that's what I thought when I wasn't watching it and the reason why I didn't want to watch. Turns out, it isn't like that at all. And it's very well-written.
"Are we on coms?" (if you don't know where this is from... you've missed some really good stuff! )
I think Ugly Betty has stopped but i always loved the editing in it
The big bang Theory, simply a funny Show
Human Target,From what i've seen an enjoyable way to pass an hour
The Office an american work place, better than the origional ( might not be in production anymore ?)
Classic TV
Star Trek, Probe ( think it might also of been called Search Control, spys with cameras in rings etc early 70's) the bionic man,Frasier, friends, cheers, really too many to list
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
The Wire is my favorite TV show of all time, US or otherwise! Flawlessly written and directed, with a terrific cast. There hasn't been anything like it before it aired or since it ended its five year run a couple of years ago. Damn I miss that show!
That's the first I've heard -- he looks good, I just hope the chemistry with Crixus and Doctore is still there. Not to mention during the flashbacks of his wife.
First season looks awesome on blu-ray. The music kicks a bite. Plus there's Lesley Anne Brandt. :x

I enjoy television of the past. The Bob Newhart Show (1972-78), The Carol Burnett Show (1967-78), Love American Style (1969-74), Maude (1972-78). Just watched Night Gallery: Season 2 on DVD. Currently I watch Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, "V". I like to watch "As Time Goes" By too.
Classic:
Man from UNCLE - pretend the 3rd season never happened
I Spy
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Recent:
Battlestar Galactica reimagined - OK, I think it's actually Canadian, but how has no one mentioned this one yet?
Firefly
Alias
Current:
Chuck - the Dalton guest star appearance was amazing and unexpected
Burn Notice
1st season of Glee - I stopped watching as it's gotten really soapy and the musical covers are more like karaoke now. What happened to the interesting arrangements?
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.

Fave newer shows: Fringe, Being Human (US)
Older shows I still like to watch on a rainy day: Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Lost (grr, still hate the final season though )), Life on Mars (UK), The Simpsons (first 10 seasons), Frasier and Buffy (first 3 seasons).
I would also love to get into Chuck or one of those cool cable shows (Burn Notice, Breaking Bad etc.) if I ever have the time, but it will have to wait for now.
For those who are American Idol fans, I highly recommend checking out The X Factor. I really hate those competition shows, especially singing ones, but the UK version of the X Factor has been an exception for the last few years and the US version is just about as good. The X Factor has a great audience set up, the judges are there as mentors instead of just saying a few lines and "Dawg" each week, and there is just a ton more heart on that show. I have tried American Idol many times over its run and it just feels like a regular production to me. The X Factor has a real sense of emotion and they do a great job making the auditions feel emotional with the big audience, judge reactions, and expert timing on the swell of the background music.
Now to my main shows:
I love Mad Men and 30 Rock. Arrested Development is sorely missed.

1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby

Intervention but this year, I didn't bother.
Also I must bring this up, William Dozier's narration in Batman was always unintentionally hilarous, especially every time he said "What's this ?". )

Best US tv show ever.
Love that show!
As for international, I'm going to have to go with Doctor Who...
I know, I know... 8-)
Best show, ever.
Brilliant show. I'm gutted Andy Whitfield has had to quit his role as Spartacus due to illness though.
Although Andy Whitfield will be difficult to replace. I do wish him well.
28 year old Aussie Liam McIntyre. Kind of looks like Whitfield.
