Two tragic Losses

Checking out the latest news on the net this morning, it grieved me to discover that Anne Francis and Pete Postelthwaite have passed away.
I had the honor to meet Ms. Francis several years ago and got to know her slightly. She was a gracious, charming and very down to earth lady, one of my favorite stars and a very early boyhood crush after seeing her in Forbidden Planet and later in Honey West, her 60's television series that was very much a part of the spy film craze inspired by Bond.
I will best remember Pete Postelthwaite as Obadiah Hakeswill in the Sharpe television series and for his performances in Alien3 and a host of movies and television shows. Steven Spielberg called him "the best actor in the world" and I reckon he should know.
Today I mourn the loss of two great stars, one of them I knew, and one I would have liked to know. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends.
