Can se that the blood is turning brownish now – one of the interesting things about using real blood on the Felix note…

The Kara photos look nice in your collection…

    Very Nice Display,

I think IKEA have done more for the Bond Collecting than EON have!!!! :D

I have 4 of those cabinets side by side.. leading to a corner display case

And they are crap for keeping out dust 8-) I would love to be able to replace with something better.

    Couldn't agree more !!!!

It's almost as if they have a dust Gathering 'Gadget' built in
which speeds up the process of dust collecting :))

I don't do this, but Some people set up the display and turn
the case round, so the door is against the wall, stops you going
into it and playing around with the items, and keeps the dust out
for a little longer, But then you see those cheap plastic strips that
    hold the glass sides

But you have to admit for £35 Brand new, thats Value for Money,
    They are great

I managed to get a nice corner display case the kind you would see in a
Jewelers shop, very very well made and keeps the dust out, with lights
built in, complete Bargain at a Car Boot sale for £6 !!!! the guy was just
wanting rid, he was selling old antiques and items of that nature, the only
trouble was getting hold of my uncle to bring his van to pick it up for me
once I bought it. once I got home I looked it up online and the same style
of Display Cabinet was selling in the region of £500 :o

also, keep an eye out if you hear of any shops closing down in your area,
You can get some good finds if you just ask to talk to the manager, most
things are going to be thrown out anyway, its a shame .... got some real
good display stands etc this way

I got a 2 old Oakley display cases from a shop that was shutting down in my area. Keeping the smaller one empty as a GG only display case ;)

Ex shop display is the way to go -{ what are the Oakley jobbies like Ben?
  • BenSV650BenSV650 Posts: 236MI6 Agent
I think they're perfect for a James bond display. They are fairly rugged looking and look kinda like something that mi6 would safely store confiscated weapons such as the GG :)) plus they both have locks on them. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Nice one mate, I have been looking at a leatherman display in my local surplus store, not that he will sell it though 8-) , it looks just the right size for what I have in plan.

Here is my advise of the day, guys:

Keep your places clean and hoover sometimes. :D
If you can't do it yourselfs, get a girlfriend or get married :D
When there is not much dust around, there will not be much dust inside of your Ikea cabinets.

Now, feel free to throw with eggs...... :#

Luckily my collection is only a tiny fraction compared to DZ archives, so why i'm complaining anyway :s

I know there's dozens of collections out there, but people won't show them :v :v

That is true – and it is a shame that there aren’t enough HP with photos of there collections… I really really enjoy them

As stated many times before, those Detolf cabinets are great value for money, only downsides are you can't adjust the shelves and glass cabinets aren't very child-friendly, well i have 2yrs old boy and wife's due date for our second one is
at the end of April, so a lot of re-arrangements needs to be done. ;)

I used to have props in cases, but with frequent visitors and myself constantly appreciating the toys I realized I wanted an "interactive" environment. Nothing between you and the treasure, so to speak. Still, dust does accumulate and I give a good cleaning every 2 weeks whether it needs it or not.
  • danjaq_0ffdanjaq_0ff The SwampsPosts: 7,283MI6 Agent
I like my collection locked, so even if I get the urge to play I would have to go find the key first lmao, when anything is touched it is done so with inspection gloves on, so no nasty acid from the skin getting on my props.

In my opinion everything looks good behind glass a pain in the arse to clean but worth it, if I laid everything out on tables it would look like a yard sale :D
  • texas007texas007 Houston, Texas 77041Posts: 2,356MI6 Agent
I don't think any of your stuffs qualify for a yard sale - may be an underground black market :)
