I remember hearing about some promo material & launch in the lobby of a hotel?? Am i wrong? I would love to see a pic of the promo stuff does any exist? Any help would be appreciated.

Well we're not talking about promo for a film exactly, more the franchise, when it was put up for auction or under hiatus, or something.

The 'next' film is just flagged up to draw bidders in. It's window dressing. I think the director of First Blood was mooted to direct, but that's all. That's how John Glen found out he wasn't doing another - charming! But it was years later that GoldenEye came about. So the actual Bond 17 was just setting out your stall.
