Finally, I had been waiting to hear something like this for the longest time.

Hopefully Bond 23 will have a more cohesive story than QOS and more of what the fans want.

Agreed. Watching that last film was like seeing an extended version of the trailer.

I am pleased they have finally made progress but, for some reason, I'm not jumping for joy quite like I hoped. If anything I'm feeling even more nostalgic for the Bond of old (Sean, Pierce etc). :#

Still, I watched Road to Perdition the other day, also directed by Mendes and co-starring Craig. That was an excellent film: well shot, well crafted and well executed. If thats anything to go by I should remain positive :)

Seems an intolerably long way away X-( ...But anything firm is good news! More good Mojo: it will be released on Loeff Jr.'s 16th birthday! :o

The question is, will MGM be distributing this picture? The article seemed a bit fuzzy on that. To my understanding MGM (UA) owns 1/2 the franchise, so wouldn't moves to Fox or Sony have to be okayed by MGM??

Here is an LA Times Article on the subject..little shorter with a link to MGM info.

668 days....seems like a long time to me. Hopefully they will put out the rest of the films on blu-ray in the mean time.

I don't understand the profanity filter. If Loeffs Jr and Hardyboy are the same age, why does it block out HBs wording, but not Loeffs?

Anyway, great news. I guess it's time to dust off the Bond movies and watch them in order. Just set my countdown clock on my laptop to. I'm prepared.

I'm excited about a new Bond film, but really, why does it take so long to do a film these days? Hollywood and I'm sure Pinewood turned out many films in much shorter time spans that were just as good as anything made now.

Having said that, I am looking forward to this movie.

Nope--Loeffs Jr. and I are yeeeeeaaaaars apart in age. My age is just obscene--totally unsuitable for young minds and delicate stomachs.

I know EON tend to hold things pretty close, but I guess we can expect to start see some real leaks soon in terms of cast, locations and even the title. A start date of November 2011 is not that far away when you think of all the work that must be completed before filming begins. Of course, we don't know how far along the script is. It could be almost finished, but even if it is there's the whole business of scouting locations in addition to casting plus building sets, choosing wardrobe, etc etc etc. A lot of people are going to be very busy...and that makes me very happy.
