If you had to chose Daniel Craig's successor for Bond 23

I really love Daniel Craig as Bond, he's my joint favourite Bond actor with Sir Roger, and i sincerely hope that he makes 2 or 3 more Bond movies. But hypothetically if charged with the task of chosing an actor to take over the role should DC decide he didnt want to make another Bond movie, its a really interesting dilemma EON/Danjaq would have. Heres a few of my choices:
1: Matthew Goode : i think Mathew Goode is an excellent actor, was brilliant in Watchmen as Ozymandias not to mention the great theatre and film roles he has also played. Hes got a very Bondian/Fleming feel to him but like Craig there is something unique there
2: James Caviezel - OK not a typical choice to play Bond i know, but sidestepping the fact he is American, he is a great physical actor with a brooding look that suits Bond really well i think, i think itd be really couragious casting if they chose him but i think it could work
3: Stephen Moyer - hes great in True Blood, hes got that killer instinct look in his eye, hes going to become a huge movie star i think and Bond might be the role that propells him to greater things
4: Richard Armitage - hes got the great classic Bond look and can do suave and sophisticated parts but isnt afraid to get his hands dirty and get stuck into the action and fighting scenes
So they are a few suggestions, i didnt bother to mention the usual suspects such as James Purefoy, Gerard Butler etc. I wouldnt mind Butler or say Hugh Jackman in the role but they are movie stars whose personas might clash with that of the role. Let me know what you guys think.

Stephen Moyer isn't a bad suggestion at all, but he is slightly too short.
Matthew Goode simply doesn't look hard enough.
James Caviezel is too American.
Richard Armitage is too old.
My candidate would be Michael Fassbender.
-Good age
-Good height
-Looks are a mix of Craig and more traditional Bond looks
-Superb actor
-Can do action

Owen will be at least 50 when Daniel Craig quits, his last chance was in 2006.The next Bond will probably be someone born in the 80's, possibly late 70's.
I just watched him in 'Luther' on BBC America and thought he was excellent. Great presence.

I can see if it was rebooted to 1960 that it would likely have to be a facet of the story all in itself, due to different attitudes back then. But aren't WE kind of past that by now? ?:)
Anyway, I'm not meaning to derail this into a discussion on race. The good news is there is a 23! -{
True, the good and important thing is Bond 23. If Idris Elba becomes Bond I would support him and I would still be a Bond fan. I have beena fan of Elba since I saw the Wire, and I hope and believe he will become a star. But I still think of Bond as white, partly because Bond is from old Scotish and Swiss families and comes from that old upper class tradition with public schools etc. Race isn't the core of what Bond is, of cource, but I still would prefer him to be white.

My opinion:
- He should ideally be British, but Astralia or NZ also works.
- He should be in his thirties when he gets the role, perhaps a bit younger.
- He must look convincing seducing women
- He must look convincing in a fight
- He has to be a good actor
- He should be tall (Craig is barely tall enough)
Funny, when I watch CR or QOS I don't sit there and think "My, Daniel Craig seems short".

Good for him; he lost it the first time around (as well as Batman and Bond!) so this is the end of his bad luck streak!
Also, the "rule" applies to major franchieses. It's like the president rule; you can only play the president of the US once.
Who is to say that Eons new partners might want a star to take over as Bond more of a draw so more money for them.
