Church's Philip - Last Call

Hi folks, and a Happy New Year to you all! I've been on the fruitless hunt for a pair of Church's Philips for a long time now, and have used the usual channels as prescribed by some of the site members, including Church's themselves, and Herring Shoes.etc., plus, of course, eBay, but to no avail. If anyone is feeling particularly charitable, I'm looking for a pair of Philip's in a size 8 1/2F. If a pair can't be found, I'll be forced to have a pair made bespoke by Church's, which takes 12 weeks and costs more than an arm and a leg. Please help a desperate man from himself...

How much for a new pair ordered from Churchs?

I ordered them custom through Herring shoes and they quoted me a price of £415.00. Supposedly, they take about 14 weeks. I ordered them at the beginning of December, so I am only 5 or so weeks in.

Back in August, I was in contact with with all the relevant sources at Church's, and the only pair available globally were in Milan, and, with the strong Euro, would have cost me £570, £20 more than it would cost to have a pair made bespoke at Church's.

asd007 - who was your contact at Herring? When I spoke to them, I didn't realise you could order bespoke through them, and at such a good price.
