Car supplier for Bond 23?

As you know, Ford signed with EON productions a three-film contract in 2001, which ended by the première of Quantum of Solace. Do somebody has information, what car maker will be on the production board in the new movie? Personally, Mercedes-Benz would be a nice choice for me... (I hope they will not go with the BMW again at least).

    I'd bet it's still Aston....

    No longer owned by Ford the new owners will be desperate to keep the image alive

    slim though, there is a chance that Bond steals a 177 from outside a casino ( or walmart?) and gives chase .... Now that would be something to behold...

    And of course swap the green planet Ka for the new Cygnet..

    Then again why would anyone want to swap a DBS for Anything else?

    I was not speaking about the main vehicle, this of course should be an Aston Martin. I mean the all other vehicles in the movie: in Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale they were all from Ford or Ford-owned companies. Ford is not on the board any more, so they will find a new car supplier or sign a new contract with Ford. I would like to see Bond driving a C63 AMG in Toronto for 10 sec (like the Mondeo in CR) :D

    Agreed mrZ hence my suggestion of the cygnet as a bond girl car like the Ka..

    And now Aston have a range they could easily cope with the bond-drives..

    Eg a Rappide, db9 , v8 etc....

    As to other cars in the film Ford only provided the main cars ( DBS, Mondeo and range rover in CR and DBS , Ka in qos ) - all others are just anything else ...eg the one and only car park is full of toyotas mercs etc...

    I doubt a manufacturer would want to share the "ride" with someone else ....

    But anything is possible in these financially depressed times..

    The c63amg is a nice ride tho - good taste....

    I doubt, that the producers and Mercedes-Benz will really want a partnership.

    If I remember correctly, since Goldfinger, Mercedes was always a baddie car in the Bond movies. The only Merc not in that context I remember as a limousine in Octopussy, but the villain drove the much nicer 600 (which is by the way the Best car ever imho!!).

    I agree with most of ke02eww's points. As far as I know, the contract was for 4 movies and not for 3.

    But as Aston is not longer a member of the Ford group, I am afraid, that we won't see a lot from Aston Martin in Bond 23 - more likely we see a new Bond car from the Ford group.

    cute yes..... but like the Ka, only to be driven by the girl. I'd rather not see Bond in that....

    I could never really see him in the Mondeo in CR.... and that bit always seems to irk me ;)

    Actually I hv it on good authority it will be very roomy inside ....

    It's based upon the Toyota qi and if you've ever un-wrapped those amazing pins of yours inside one you'll know your upper deck is safe...

    It might also end up being the first Aston with a sunroof ( the webasto on the db5/6's don't count before someone piles on....) so even bondtoys will be able to get his skis into it...

    Rare for me to agree with BT but I'd love to see that pic....

    As to where to? There are always two answers..

    The bondian one ..... Cruise down to the Thames for a spot of picnic and punting....

    And the one my wife would approve of....
