Quantum Of Solace Prada Belt - still available???

Ive been searching for this belt but only found it in blue :#

Anybody have any source for this belt? I believe its still out there in some places!

On another note I bought a rectangle Prada plate style belt and was shocked to see the belt "peel" on the very day I bought it (authentic, brand new). It is the type with no stitching along the belt length - def avoid these as ive noticed quite a few others have had this problem!!

I bought the last one officially sold in PRADA US stores. However, there may be some other vendors selling. Or if you've got the money, they have re-issued the belt in 2 styles, one with the correct buckle, one with the correct belt.

    2 styles?

Ive found what I think is the correct one on the Prada E Shop, criss cross style leather and logo on bottom of buckle, however no shipping to my country grrr!!

If it helps, the product code for the correct belt that was worn in the movie is: 2C 4099 2

Prada slightly change the design so you won't get the exact same product code to match a current season belt even though it has the same leather.

Mine is similar but different code, good enough unless you want the exact same belt which you will probably not locate as it's 3 years ago.

Yeah. I cant see the diff between the belt I linked above to the pics shown of the actual belt in this forum around Quantum release, just wondering if I was blind :)

They are nice belts and very strong leather, pretty much the same with hardly any differences of note.

If you want one go for it, I wouldn't worry that it's not the exact same code/belt the leather is the same anyway.

Welsh, the difference is in the cross hatch design...one is horizontal while the other is diagonal...

The buckle is different to the Saks one shown also. No roller, its angular, and Prada is on the front edge not the side.

This thread was good at identifying it. http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/33765/quantum-of-solace-belt/

At least I hope it was as I bought one like it.

Saks Fifth Avenue have the actual model back in again. I stumbled across them in the Houston store tonight and bought the brown version.

You can see it here against the black one I bought in London 18 months or more ago.

Definitely the same. $300 I'm afraid though but they had about ten in, so they should be around the country and perhaps mail order too.

It is my understanding from here that the black version is authentic to the movie, but how bad does it look with the Brown suede Church Ryder's? Should one get the brown?

Doesn't look bad at all. Looks great as its against very dark blue jeans and polo of the same. The boots are the contrast.

I just really like the belt and wanted a brown one for other semi casual trousers and suits.

Maybe I wasnt clear in the original post, Saks do have BOTH black AND brown belts in right now. {[]

The code on the back of the belt is 2C 4099 2. The first six characters are the belt/buckle, the last one is the colour (black). I spoke to someone in one of the Prada shops in London today to confirm and they had the colour code specifically recorded as F0002 on their computer system. The only reason I mention this is because this belt is available in blue and brown leather also, although I've only seen those colours via internet retailers.

The code on the black belt is correct. But then thats my one from London.

The brown one has a different code, but as you can see, and I can confirm it is exactly the same except for colour.

Saks have the black belt and it also looks exactly the same. I can confirm that too. I didn't check the code though, but does that matter as it's a new season and they may have changed it anyway. Same belt though.

I thought that the brown belt looked slightly narrower in width than the black version.
  • ExpatJBExpatJB HoustonPosts: 752MI6 Agent
Both brown and black are the same width when you overlay them.
