i have never actually seen this movie myself, but many critics label this movie as one of Dalton's finest. it was released in 1988 between his bond films and also starred anthony edwards. apparantly the movie in its entirety is on youtube and it is something i would like to watch sooner rather then later.
has anyone seen this film?

    Yeah, I have it's awful.

Dalton just can't help looking sinister in every movie he's in, be it The Lion in Winter of Hot Fuzz. He plays a guy on a cancer ward who tries to give a fellow sufferer a new appreciation of life, a bit like The Bucket List I guess, but while the premise isn't too bad, it's a depressing film with a sitcom vibe. Dalton wears this comic relief style red nose at times but I just remember him as a creepy presence and the last person you want to hand your soul over to before your Maker comes.

I agree with you NP. 'Hawks' is quite often mentioned as 'one of Daltons best' but I've never got it. I didn't enjoy it at all. Wouldn't go as far as to say he is sinister but the film is very depressing ... and its exactly the same as 'The Bucket List' but came about 19 years earlier :))

Dalton does do sinister extremely well though. Always been very surprised he's never done a proper horror movie of some sort ( and 'Possessed' doesn't count ...... )
