What most believe is the 1965 original actually features an image of Sean Connery from You Only Live Twice.
Respected leading James Bond authority Mr Graham Rye of 007 Magazine has informed myself that the central image of Mr Connery did in fact originate from Thunderball as Mr Connery was slightly heavier set in You Only Live Twice.
Stunning Robert Brownjohn art which was lifted straight from the amazing Goldfinger movie titles, displayed in parts of the UK where it was felt that the image of a gold Margaret "Dink" Nolan in 2 piece bikini was too risky! Not easy to photograph through glass I hasten to add.
Bond Drives an Aston...Naturally...See Thunderball
A simple yet very effective campaign message from AML Ltd. Very unusual printing technique utilising a large black & white image with red printers ink stenciled wording.
At the release of Goldfinger Shirley Eaton was becoming a star in her own right however her name was missed off the British quad. Not wanting to go to the expense of a reprint National Screen Services commissioned printers Stafford & Co of London to produce inserts which could be stuck to the poster adding Ms Eaton to the main cast in a starring role.
While Harry Saltzman was still the first producers name on campaign posters for Thunderball in the UK, the US 3 sheet, 1 sheet, 1/2 sheet, insert & window card was printed with A.R.Broccoli above Harry Saltzman. Perhaps taking the idea from the Goldfinger poster add-on? and to save the expense of a reprint? a number of insert panels were printed to be added to the movie posters putting Mr Saltzman's name before Mr Broccoli's.
These two survivors from the heyday of Bondmania have been linen backed for prosperity.

That is one of my favorite Bond tie in posters. Been on the hunt for an original one for a while. I had a reproduction of it made for my garage to the original size a while back.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.
"People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." Richard Grenier after George Orwell, Washington Times 1993.
First time seeing that Aston Martin poster. It is cool. They should have made something like that for Quantum of Solace. That opening chase scene was the best part of the movie. At least they used an image for the Omega magazine Quantum of Solace special.
Of all the stunning 1960's Bond poster art by Frank McCarthy, the artwork created for the Thunderball campaign is in my opinion the most jaw dropping, in particular his stunning visualisation of Sean's 007 escaping from the roof of Colonel Jaques Boitier's chateau armed with his now iconic Walther LP53 strapped into a Bell jetpack.
I've tried to collect just about every variation of this iconic image including in my opinion the finest which appeared on the stunning US "Look Up" subway poster which measures an incredible 59"x 45.5"
