The look of a young Gerard Butler, Specterblofeld. But I thought there was a dress code here at AJB, I always wear a Tux. :))

I lived in Verona, Italy for a summer and was lucky enough to travel around Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Here's a photo of me at the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna, which briefly features in TLD

Technically this is the Gloriette, a pavilion that's the highest elevation in the palace gardens. Alas, in this photo you can't tell how far up I am - it was a good half hour hike to get up here from the main palace!
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.

    Hi Tracy!

You were walking from the palace to the pavillon (pic in the lower left corner)

    - yes, quite a walk (and all the way up!)
    gez.

Oh hello! I was about to submit a saucy snap of Lady Rose, imagining what she must look like (seeing as she hasn't done us the honour) when I came across Kara's cello thing from TLD, that's a Lady Rose! Hence the name then?

Sorry Lady Rose but that sketch - The Four Yorkshiremen - has nothing to do with Monty Python at all :(

I'm sure it was written for "At Last....It's The 1948 Show", certainly not Python which was a couple of years off at least. I think the original "four Yorkshiremen" were John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Marty Feldman and Tim Brooke-Taylor - so I can see why people think it was a Python sketch.

And now for something completely different....

Well, you learn something new everyday !! I had it in my head Micheal Palin had been in the sketch and good old Google showed me that the Pythons had performed it live before so thats where i must have got that from. Phew! :s

Anyways, its still a great sketch and is quoted regularly ..... especially by us Northerners who live 'down South' :) ( need a flat cap smilie )

I used "Lady Rose" as a screen name on other sites, but people always think it refers to a historical romance novel heroine :s

    Or a clogs smilie :D

Or better still - a black pudding smilie :)) Then we can practice the ancient art of "Ecky Thump" - which is a different show altogether ;)

I'd love to look like Daniel Craig coming out of the sea. So last week in Italy my wife took this of me in my blue trunks a la Casino Royale...

    045.jpg

And then I realised that unless Craig grew six inches, dyed his hair brown and gained seven stone it ain't gonna happen!

    090.jpg

But he didn't have such a beautiful companion either... ;)
