But nice move from you and that Brett Bond sounds to be a greater person than most of us here -particularly than myself!
He has all my respect!
TokyoMatt, you have been interested in getting in touch with a member from HongKong. I'll be there in 2 days, but assume, that you won't make it to there in the next 2 weeks?

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
It was Mr. Sruzgar that was looking to contact anyone from the far east, specifically Japan.
I've been in touch with Sruzgar and sorted out the details of some shopping he wants me to do for him in Japan. We are waiting for the dollar/yen exchange rate to improve.
Sometime in the future I'd love to meet up. Tokyo or Hong Kong are fine by me.
Right now I cannot leave Japan. No chance within the next two weeks.
I'm busy every day at centres in Tokyo that we are preparing to recieve people made homeless by the quake. (Currently about 250,000 people).
For once I am stuck for words, I know it is a long shot Matt, but if I can ever be of any help please ask, I don't know what I can do from here, but even if it is just helping you out finding or shipping stuff, I really don't know, but if I can help you I will.

we have a slight idea, what happens presently in Japan (I take it, that the real situation can't be imagined from here) I just wanted to inform you that I am there.
Regarding what Danjaq_off said, I second this wholehearted!

Sincearly, thank you everyone for the kind words and offers of help.
But.
I'm turning this forum into something it was not meant to be.
Even the American Military are advising us not to become swamped twenty four seven by earthquake stuff.
"Go home and watch a movie instead of the news."
One becomes emotionally saturated and physically exhausted.
Advice to us is to find a place everyday for a "mental health break" and fun.
And I'm the one who has turned this into an earthquake thread.
So again, thank you. Moral support does make a difference.
But I'm going to suggest returning the Bond Forum to ............Bond.
Here goes,
I'm a newcomer to Bond.
Two months ago something, and I cannot for the life of me remember what, but something sparked an interest in Bond. (What was the beginning?).
Next thing I'm chatting to on a forum on a daily basis and asking my wife for permission to buy guns!
My knowledge is restricted to the contents of the first four novels.
My collection fits in a shoe box and consists of:-
The Fleming novels, (all second hand).
A battered corgi DB5, (with two baddies).
A replica Walther PPK with silencer, ('cos I bottled having a real gun in the house).
And, to return to the original thread, and thanks solely to Mr. minigeff's thread, an Aston Martin pen set that is winging it's way to me as I type.
I can see that this collecting thing is addictive.
I can see that there will always, always, always be a "the next thing I want to get."

I agree, the best joke so far was the "Blo Job" joke.
I'm based in Hong Kong, you chaps (and chapets) are always welcome at my place or would love to meet up for a beer if anyones in town or passing through.
not sure, if you have seen all the movies yet, that seems to be the way to go yet.
Regarding collecting, you'll get many ideas here on the board. Collecting prop replica is always nice. I recommend on sticking with a few items, which are well done instead of going to ebay and buy a lot of junk from Argentina.
And if you have any questions: Ask.
Sometimes you get silly replies (especially from Geff and Danjaq_off :v) but sometimes they can be helpful, too
