This is an ultra rare pair of British double crowns displayed as a door panel for 1971's Diamonds are Forever. If you've ever seen another original pair you are probably looking at the front advertising panels of a British Routemaster bus 40 years ago or are standing in the poster section of the EON Archive?
I always thought these were from a Bus Panel!
Thanks for the info!
I'm not looking at a British Routemaster bus or standing in the poster section of the EON Archive

Btw, How about a sticky thread for James Bond posters and Artwork
As here seems to be quite a few experts :007)
Bump....
Still a great idea.... -{
And now ppw has rediscovered his send button good timing!
I'd be happy for this to happen if there is enough interest...?...
I would like this a lot.
I know I haven't been much of a member in that I have really only kept to this section of the forum, and some people still think negatively of me thanks to what Alpha Mel wrote about me (and subsequently deleted) a year ago, but I think I can add something positive.
Best,
Adam

Seems like a great idea. Particularly since I've been meaning to post more pictures of my one sheet collection.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.
"People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." Richard Grenier after George Orwell, Washington Times 1993.
I would like to see the poster sticky tread too - in the most part poster collecting is (to quote the old woman at the casino table in OHMSS) too rich for my blood but I love being able to see such great items in your collections - and thanks for all who share such great works of art on here too!
absolutely love the frank mcarthy's thunderball pic, its got a certain lichenstien/gerry anderson thing going on, pretty cool artwork, i'll have to get mammy on to it.....
Not much known about this stunning artwork except that its not from 1962 as it claims to be. The artwork is clearly inspired by the Japanese early 1970s re-release posters right down to a direct copy of the replica Walther PPK with silencer featured on the Japanese posters.

I really love the posters from the Far East....the Japanese have produced some fantastic artwork down the years and the Dr No Thai poster is no exception - thanks for sharing -{

Happy to help with any small amount of knowledge I have but I need some expertise here. I have always been led to beleive that this poster was a rush job due to a shortage of cinema release posters. Apologies its a UK quad. Anyway I never really believed it and think maybe it was printed for Ireland due to censorship of female images. Anyone got any better idea?

I agree with Kan, Frank Mccarthy was a fantastic visual artist when it came to action. I own a reproduction of the Little Nellie poster from You Only Live Twice and it has quickly become one of my favorite Bond posters. Also I equaly enjoy the reproduction of The first From Russia With Love poster that DG has in his collection.

Sorry, I made a mistake in my last post. What I ment to say is that I own a reproduction of the first of the two From Russia With Love posters DG has in his collection.

While I prefer original one sheets to reproductions, some collectors would rather spend big amounts on other areas of the Bond collecting scene, such as first editions, die cast, props, etc. So reproductions, or re-prints offer the great artwork from the heyday of Bondmania for very little money. No resale value in reproductions. Reprints do have value, because they were generally made for the later re-release of a movie. But for many Bondphiles, it's about the artwork not the value, so it's an inexpensive way to enjoy the great art of Bond.

Well said DG, also I am on a tight budget with my collecting and reprints are the way to go for me as they are in my price range.
was moving some poster tubes I thought were empty and actually found a few posters I had forgotten about. Probably the most interesting is this US forces issue FRWL , I have included the stamp from the back
It must be quite some years ago I bought this and any story associated has been forgoten!
Jumping ahead from previous posts slightly....
The year is 1999, Pierce Brosnan has now settled in nicely to the role of 007 in his third & some might say best outing as Mr Bond in The World is Not Enough. This rarely seen stunning image was created not for the cinematic release but for the home video release of the movie incorporating images from the US one sheet & a publicity photo of Pierce holding up his now iconic supppressed PAK Walther P99. Its dimensions are roughly 5ft x 3ft. Although TWINE was clearly an iconic movie it was regrettably the last appearance of Desmond Llewelyn in the role of Q before his untimely death in a road accident.... "Always have an escape plan" still brings a lump to my throat!

I just realize how Moore looked like Brosnan in the same age -{
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
And here Roger Moore is so small (note: the watch is behind him and in front of the lady) he could be mistaken for Daniel Craig
