Bondcollection cufflinks quality ?

Hi all,
Did somebody buy a pair of cufflinks from the argentina webpage
Bondcollection.com? Because i want to Order the Casino Royale pair.
I already owned the ones from Costumebase and i'm not impressed by the quality of them! Did somebody know if the Bondcollection ones are better? Thanks and regards T

Are you referring to the 'coffin' shapes cufflinks from the casino scenes? If so then yes I did, some time ago, buy a pair from an Argintinian seller on eBay. However, the quality was rather poor and they were a real let-down. If indeed the same then I would save your cash and not bother. Do you have a link to them? Maybe I can tell whether they are the same or not?

Yep, that's the ones I bought a while back. In all honesty they are rubbish so don't waste your hard earned cash mate.

Same here. I bought them a while back and they turned black. Save your money. Anything I buy now is definately Dupont and I'm very happy with them.

I wholeheartedly agree! I have 8 pairs of S.T. Dupont cufflinks which all cost me around the £140 mark (or slightly less) for each. While the Casino Royale coffin cufflinks go for £2000 you might be better off acquiring one of their other models and having the real thing. Maybe the square diamond pair DC wore in CR and QoS as these can still be obtained for under £140 - unless you already have a pair of course.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but it looks to me like these may be a great alternative for the S.T. Dupont Casino Royale cufflinks: http://www.kentwang.com/cuff-links/silver-wedge.html

The shape is very similar, & they're made from sterling silver.

That is spookily similar, but different enough. Its like they planned it.

To everybody how's fortunate to own the real deal, these are far from being accurate.

These are obviously the ones which have been started by Mac here on the board.
The fixed backs with the huge dimensions will make it very tricky go use with a real cuff 8-)

I wouldn't touch them with a very long bargepole! Nor Pete's bargepole - but that's another sordid story! :))

I heard it was more of a twiglet than a fully blown twig - but perhaps it grew a little due to the moist conditions :v

So I take it Mac off-loaded these cufflinks to an unsuspecting seller in Texas? Maybe he wasn't as daft as we thought he was :))
