Weapons Bazaar: Bond Style

Hello folks...just a fun video that I thought people would enjoy, especially those outside of the USA that might not have these...it is a good ol' gun show! This past Saturday in historical Valley Forge, PA several of us attended this quarterly event that is held in two large ballrooms. Funny part was, they frown upon video or pictures but when the dealers saw me filming and heard I was doing a James Bond podcast they all wanted to be on camera! Fun time, hung with some good friends and met some good sports...enjoy!

BBQ...Guns.....Knives....Nazi memorabilia...The only thing missing was the banjo music!!! :)) Seriously though, nice podcast David. I didn't see a ppk in the gun cases.
Bond: "Who would spend $1 million to kill me?"
M: "Jealous husbands. Outraged chefs. Humiliated tailors. The list is endless!"

Such an event is pretty alien to me! Thanks for the video.

Only it was a pity in some parts that the music was a bit loud, I couldn't hear what the underground bunker guy was saying.

Terrific stuff Dave, thanks for sharing. Here in the UK the Police turn are called if you go to a fancy dress party as a cowboy with a toy gun, this is great to see.

It's funny, just before 9/11 I bought a real PPK from the US on ebay that arrived in just a jiffy bag. If I tried that now I'd be spending some time in the company of the boys in blue - sad state of affairs.

After what I told you I feel it very dishonest mate :# , you are a highly respected MOD and member of the Bond community, who ever you have over at your house will believe your stories :# that is very sad my friend.

have been to a couple at Bisley Surrey UK the home of the NRA UK, that was good but no pistols just rifles, went to one at the Birmingham Exhibition Center now that was good, before the ban!

Relax, dishonesty had nothing to do with it. I didn't take down the letter because I haven't taken down the letter. If you knew me you wouldn't throw that type of accusation my way. It's not in your personality to see anything but the negative side of things...THAT is sad.

Duncan, I would certainly happily advocate the same right to bare arms and defend your home in the UK as they have in the US, and would immediately get a gun and learn how to fire it.

But I'm not quite sure what a private, erm, citizen"(?) would want with a machine gun, are you?

Great stuff, Dave, but it does show one of the major differences between our two countries and their very cultures.

No, I only see negativity because I have a close up of the letter and what you said in you pod cast, I think you can ask anyone that knows me will tell you I am 100% and I hate lies, I see good in people if there is good to see, just because I don't see the good in you does not give me a negative personality.

For the sake of not creating another cufflink thread, let's take this to PM, email or phone, Pete.

What and you misleading 1000s of people that you own a screen used TWINE watch , that is a real good contribution.

WOW!!!! I've seen less sniping in downtown Sarajevo during the 90's than I've seen here in the last couple of days. :( Think I'll start wearing my kevlar again when I log in to read the posts.

David, I for one enjoy your podcasts very much and routinely go to your website just to oogle your collection. Over the last couple of years I've asked and you've answered many of my Bond questions, for which I thank you. You've always been very upfront about your collection as to what is "screen used" or what is a replica. Thank you for your contribution to AJB and I look forward to seeing more of them.

    With sincere appreciation,

With deference to Pete, he did help in identifying a watch in my collection that I previously thought of as screen used or at least production made, but with his experience and knowledge he did convince me the piece was not genuine. I took down a video interview where I chatted the piece up but neglected to take down a letter that told of the story since Pete had contacted me. It was an over site on my part, but as I pride myself on representing the integrity of this hobby and the board itself it is one that will be corrected immediately.

I think Pete was as passionate about calling this out as I was in my defense of this being a mistake.

I maybe relatively new on ajb, but not with the community.
Everyone has their good points; everyone has their bad points.

I, too, am like Pete (and most others, I suspect), in that I dislike lying.
I have been a victim of false accusations made against me on here by AlphaMel last year.
I am trying very hard to get back some credibility within this fine forum by proving that guy consistently wrong, and believe me, it is bloody hard to claw back the credibility here!

My point is that DZ is a good guy - I've met him once or twice at Pinewood, though he probably cannot remember!
His contributions are great, just likes yours, so criticising someone publicly before talking privately is not the best way to go about things in my opinion! Lets keep the peace, please {[]

Staying on topic, can we talk about the crazy-ass show we saw in DZ's podcast!?
I, for one, am loving the underground bunker!
Why isn't there anything like that in the UK!?
    Best wishes,

The underground bunker people were amazing...$150k for a basic bunker, and that doesn't include food. $550k for one of their deluxe models and you work with a food expert to determine "how long you want to survive!!!!"....I am tempted to post the entire interview of those folks (sans music so you can hear them) just because it is so amazing. BTW, the lock on the door of your bunker "can keep out an army or any explosion" GUARANTEED.
