Persol 2720s FAKES? Possible or not?

Hello again,

So, Poland as you probably know is the home town of weird situations. On a Polish bidding site similar to ebay, I found new Persol 2720s sunglasses for about 50 bucks. The price is low, the seller claims they're from Germany, God knows. The only thing i want from you guys is to check out the pictures and compare to the glasses you have (those of you who actually have these of course), because if they're real, it's a steal

I've got the 2244s so the second pair would be a nice addition.

On one of the photos I spotted the laser-graved logo in the upper left corner on the left lens, possible proof of authenticy?

Looks like they sold for more than $50! I would never pay that much for sunnies anyway - I scratch them too often, so simply not worth it. But if Allegro has any buyer's cover similar to eBay then you do not need to worry about it. Hope you get the real thing!

The tortoise blend on the acetate looks right. If they were knock offs they'd probably use something injected(cheap) rather than proper acetate. I don't really think Persol is a big enough brand to warrant knock offs but I could be wrong. It's not like this is a super popular glass like an Aviator, Wayfarer, or some cheesy Oakley. You're probably fine on these.

Jag, the lenses on Persols are mineral glass, which is much harder to scratch than typical plastic(polycarbonate, cr39, etc) or dime store glasses.

I hope you're right. They should arrive today. Is anywhere on the forum a topic connected with these glasses with large photos, so I can compare them once they arrive?
