The prop is just fine. Just do us all a favor for next time and find a sexy woman with a flat, tanned stomach and the lightest, fairest 'peach fuzz' for hair to model said prop.
...And photograph her from all possible angles.
Tip: Wiry-black man-hair in NO WAY substitutes the navel-charm of a bellydancer. At least, not from where *I'm* standing

Pete has to be the only member who has the most "prop Bond things" on his body.
I dread seeing a photo of Pete with the Jaws teeth in, the bullet in his navel and a third nipple.

a display replica Gold Plated would make a nice addition to any
Golden Gun bullet display etc...
The thing that always confused me.. all Guns fire a bullet,
The tip / head of the bullet flys down the barrel and goes
to the target to hit / kill and the shell / bullet casing is left
in the gun breech / flys out of the guns slide.
I know we never see in the film Scaramanga Load his gun
of eject a spend bullet shell from the back of the lighter
( another function my Golden Gun does - Just not shown in
video due to realism )
when we see Bond ( Roger Moore ) trying to take it from her
and Calthrop and Q study it at Q branch... it looks like a
complete shell / bullet casing with a smashed / flattened head
are we to asume the Golden Gun Fires a bullet by way of the entire
bullet firing down the gun barrel ?
or has the Dancer had the bullet tip / head melted down by a
jewller and re-cast into a belly button charm? even so, I doubt
a golden bullet tip / head had the amount of Gold / metal to be
re-cast into an item as big as her charm
I know its not a big part of the story or even worth thinking about )
just curious as to what others thought of this aspect of the Golden Gun
and its ammunition
I have just gone by the reference I have of other slugs that the prop department pealed back in the same manner, then tried to get is as SA as I could be bothered to do , like I said it was not supposed to be 100% as I was showing a friend how I would do it, I just couldn't resist posting the pics
If the bullet had been fired and gone through Bill Fairbanks and embedded in the wall, It certainly wouldn't look like that, I think the reason the prop department made it like it is was it is a Dum Dum bullet and would have a cross cut in to it.
