Las Vegas Bond Locations

Are there any Bond locations left to see in Vegas? I am on a family vacation to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas now. I didn't think of visiting Bond locations until now. I have two days left in Vegas, any suggestions?

    Circus Circus?
Would James Bond do that? (Such simple life guidance)

Sry didn't see this until today.

There are loads of Bon locals in Vegas, and some not too far away ( eg elrod house where thumper et al hung out in daf) but doubt you'll have time now.

I strongly  recommend "on the tracks of 007 " book next time ur in 007 locals....it's well worth the money and has 5 pages on Vegas alone!

I hope martiijn doesn't mind me cribbing from them for you now....

Diamonds are forever was heavily set in Vegas, and the story of how Willard whyte was literally "dreamt up" by Cubby is so cool.

Cruising down las Vegas boulevard south, you'll pass McFadden intl airport, in the scene with the smuggled diamonds in the locker, and pass the welcome to las Vegas sign.
On the corner with tropicana ave you see tropicana hotel, bonds hotel.

In circus circus hotel tiffany wins the elephant full of diamonds .

The riviera hotel and casino is where bond meets Plenty at the tables.

If you can find the former International hotel ( now part of the Hilton group) this is where the whyte house was.

While long gone now, the landmark hotel's outside glass elevator was used by bond to enter the whyte house. Its been demolished and replaced by the huge car park between the riviera and the Hilton. The car park also used to have the gas station where bond climbs into the back of metz's car.

Fremont St is worth a look....where the mustang chase takes place. The alley he enters is 50metres from the corner of fremont and south casino blvd. He re-enters Fremont St opposite the pioneer club 25 east Fremont St.

If u hv a car and fancy the desert, take east lake mead blvd (147) away from Vegas, and on left in a couple of km is gypsum road- take this to John manvilles gypsum plant. This was the whyte tectronics space lab - the home of the moon buggy chase. And where bond finds tiffany and escapes in the car.

Finally go back to east lake mead blvd and turn left keep going round lake las Vegas until hitting east lake mead parkway (564) . Look for a left called boulder highway. Just after major ave you will sees a vacant lot on left. Turn onto frontage rd and u will come on Palm Mortuary - the scene of slumber Inc, and connery's very last scene as bond, filmed 13 th august 1971.

This would be a lot easier with a good gps or if one, and of course, a copy of "on the tracks of 007"

    Good luck

Thanks for the responses Samurai-5 and ke02eww. I am back now but I did take the kids to the Circus Circus hotel adventure dome, and stop by the Las Vegas sign so I guess I did see a few Bond locations without realizing it. Thanks for the tip on picking up a copy of On the Tracks of 007, I will definitely do that. I have been to Vegas a few times before and I'm sure I'll be back again. Next time I'll make sure I re-watch the film and have a copy of On the Tracks of 007 before I go.
