If anyone wants to unburden themselves of any money or property before the end I will graciously accept all donations. :))

Of course, one day before my vacation starts the world has to come to an end.

And for a rebuttal, here's six pages showing two thousand years of apocalypses (apocalypi?) that didn't happen:

I guess what HB is trying to say (to me at least) is, enjoy your vacation.

Thanks HB, I thought my vacation would be ruined.

Oh no not another long delay to Bond 23...... :o

Seriously, I was convinced the apocalypse was set for 21st dec 2012 per the Mayans... :s

This new one, seems to rely on The anniversary of the great flood and Noah...

In 2 Peter 3:8, which is quoted above, Holy God reminds us that one day is as 1,000 years. Therefore, with the correct understanding that the seven days referred to in Genesis 7:4 can be understood as 7,000 years, we learn that when God told Noah there were seven days to escape worldwide destruction, He was also telling the world there would be exactly 7,000 years (one day is as 1,000 years) to escape the wrath of God that would come when He destroys the world on Judgment Day. Because Holy Infinite God is all-knowing, He knows the end from the beginning. He knew how sinful the world would become.

Seven thousand years after 4990 B.C. (the year of the Flood) is the year 2011 A.D. (our calendar).

    4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7,000
[One year must be subtracted in going from an Old Testament B.C. calendar date to a New Testament A.D. calendar date because the calendar does not have a year zero.]

Thus Holy God is showing us by the words of 2 Peter 3:8 that He wants us to know that exactly 7,000 years after He destroyed the world with water in Noah’s day, He plans to destroy the entire world forever. Because the year 2011 A.D. is exactly 7,000 years after 4990 B.C. when the flood began, the Bible has given us absolute proof that the year 2011 is the end of the world during the Day of Judgment, which will come on the last day of the Day of Judgment.

Amazingly, May 21, 2011 is the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar of our day. Remember, the flood waters also began on the 17th day of the 2nd month, in the year 4990 B.C.

Would make a good plot line for Bond 23 though....

Of course, if it's the rapture, I'll be hanging around for a while yet, while all the mods get swept up to the great Bond forum in the sky... you will leave me the passwords won't you Hardyboy?

It's supposed to be a series of earthquakes that occur at 6:00 p.m. in each and every time zone. Give God credit for punctuality.

Funny how biblical foresight can account for the Gregorian calendar and Greenwich time system created in modern times. Hard to have faith in God when my faith in humanity is in serious detriment.

This is the latest e-quake map worldwide

The basis for the calculation of this exact date for the rapture comes from here ..

On one hand, it does make me laugh how these 'ladies' go on the TV and radio acting all self righteous and playing innocent, as if they don't understand what a wedding ring is. Sirens the lot of them. They know exactly what they're doing when they flutter their eyelids and bed these rich and famous men. In for the kill.

But on the other hand, maybe if these 'gentlemen' were stronger of mind then their privacy wouldn't need protecting. Personally, I'm all for exposing the truth on any level, not just that which is media worthy. As the old saying goes and appropriate for the current situation; 'you've made your bed'.

I guess it's what happens when you give lots of money to the young underclass. (footballers)

The thing I found amusing about this particular doomsday prophecy was the idea that it would be a rolling apocalypse as 6:00 rang in different regions across the world. Did they really think God had to abide by man-made time zones? :s

I wonder what Harold Camping, the guy who started al this, is thinking right now.

Yes, 2 quakes. One in New Zealand and one here in the SF Bay Area. Coincidently, the one here in the SF Bay Area happened at just after 7pm. Registered just a measly 3.6 and was 13 miles away from that guy that predicted the end of the world. Scary stuff, dontcha think?
