Hermès Shoes as an alternative to Church's ?

I know that it's not like they are way cheaper than the Church's, but I think that I almost prefer those..

I don't know if they're made in France, England or Italy though.

Alternatives are supposed to be either cheaper or more accurate..

How about these from Loake called the 'Tintagel'. I recommended them to a friend and he's very impressed with them after wearing them for a while.

The OP's Hermes shoes are nothing like the Church's originals. They are derbys and have a cap toe, the originals were oxfords and had a punched captoe, IIRC.

Those Hermes shoes are made in Italy. Many believe that since Hermes owns John Lobb that they are made by them, but these are most definitely not JL. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy these. They're nothing like the originals and although Church's are drastically overpriced for the shoe, these are no better. If you want a high quality pair of black shoes try:

They are just a standard captoe oxford, whilst the Philip was a punched captoe. Ah well…
