Have been browsing this forum for a long while but only just registered as a member. Too shy as English is not my first language .
Thought of getting the JB Levis Sta Prest from Ebay but without joy, and having reckoned from this forum that the item is somewhat difficult to come by in US and Europe, I am extremly happy to get my pair of W32 Levis 306 Sta Prest for HK$ 899 (that's USD 115.2) by chance when doing shopping today - plenty of them sitting around at official Levis shops in Hong Kong and they come in khaki and grey. Made in China, of course.
Pics in a few days after I fetched the pair of pants from Levis after alternation.
Looks to me like your reason for being here is to advertise products for sale on an auction site. If this is the case, then fine, but at least have the courtesy to be honest about it. Most people on here are smarter than the average bear and appreciate honesty, especially with potential copies.
Neither sites you link to are understandable and therefore are less trustworthy. Don't dress something up (excuse the pun) as if you're making an honest recommendation when you're actually just an affiliate.
If I'm wrong about your intentions, then I apologise in advance. -{

With respect, if you can read the Chinese (or the funny symbols if you are not using Windows in Chinese), make out what they mean and complete the purchase, then you have a good reason to suspect that I am advertising a product. I am just here to share my joy of being able to find a pair of Sta Prest during a casual visit to a Levis shop in Mongkok, Hong Kong (many Levis shops in the same district, so don't think I am the owner of any particular shop 8-) ...I wish I were). Did I also mention that I will pick up the pair of pants two days later after having it altered?
Sorry, I will in this case not post any "306" pics on this thread lest further accusations against my integrity. What a nice welcome to a new member! Overdeveloped trigger finger, as M commented?
On the other hand, if the apology is genuine, consider it accepted -{
Jz007 and thesecretagent, thanks for your warm welcome nonetheless -{
I hope the following pics may serve to prove my claim as a bona fide fan and collector as much as you are.....and not a salesman.
Unfortunately, I've never been "hands on" with the Sta-Prest I've found - have only seen them worn on others. Also, I, too, was unable to find the pants by navigating through the website.
I have used the 511 for a while, fit great up top and through the thigh but I don't like the narrow ankle. So the secret that has worked for me is to buy them 2 inches longer than I need them and then go to a tailor to get them shortened. A good tailor will actually reattach the original hem to the bottom so there is no noticeable change in the look. I know the 511 are supposed to be a straight leg but they definitely taper, so shortening a longer leg makes the ankle wider and more comfortable (for me at least).
While they aren't listed under the "501 Shrink to Fit" category, the details below say "shrink to fit" at the bottom, so that requires clarification, as far as I'm concerned.
Also called Taupe, but still the same. I think these are going to be my next jeans, as soon as I find some appropriate footwear for shorts and my chinos.
Here they are side-by-side (forgive lighting, neither are my photos):

Combination of both!!!
What are you doing in Italy these days?
77007, I'm thinking the same thing. Had I not just purchased the Levi's, I'd probably consider these at that price.

Good to know that they are available in Hong Kong. I wonder if the stores ship internationally.
I've contacted Levis about bringing these back, but they blew me off - said they'd forward to their design department for recommendation.

The item (the same as the one I purchased today) is on "Tmall", the China's own variant of Ebay - BTW, is it the same as the DC QoS Sta Prest or something else?
