  Splendid pictures Mr. Martini! Amazing how gorgeous earth looks, if one listened to all the environmentalist, one would think earth was a brewing pot of toxic waste.

  Awesome pics Mr. M, thanks for sharing. As an astronomy buff I can never get enough of images like these though they make me somewhat sad and angry that our president seems to be doing everything possible to marginalize NASA and diminish our presence in space.
  
  BTW, did your father ever decide to buy a 3D TV? If he did there are a few outstanding Imax 3D BluRays about outer space that you'd probably enjoy checking out.

  He decided against it. He's still looking for a new TV though. I guess he didn't want to wear the glasses all the time. I'm sure there was other things to.
