I have to say that the many, many, many comments about DC fans are the 'chosen ones', and that DC is the one that can 'do no wrong' have taken their toll....and before you think I am saying that no one is allowed to post anything negative about Craig, I'm not.... everyone is allowed their opinion, however I feel like I can't post any comment that says something positive about him anymore.
Teasing is one thing... (a sign of affection I've been told :v) but I don't feel like I'm being teased....

Lexi feels AJB is an almost anti Craig Forum, Where as I feel it's a very Pro Craig forum. I suspect the truth is, somewhere in between

For example I have often felt very similar to you but in the opposite direction in as much as I felt that any questioning of DC and/or his interpretation was really swimming against the tide, and one would be accused of wanting to hark back to double taking Pigeons and naff one liners.
There should and indeed is room for a real diversity of views. For my own part my opinion of DC as Bond is complex and nuanced. I really admire a lot about his Bond, and do believe that he is a very good actor with professional integrity. That said there are things that don't sit well for me so being pro or anti is just to crude a description to capture the full range of opinion.

I hope so. Things are just gearing up, and the press conference is imminent. I don't think that you will be able to help yourself once you actually see your 'beloved Daniel ' talking about Bond 23. Besides once we have some real information and news perhaps we can concentrate on what I believe and hope will be a truly superb addition to the series and move on from my favourite Bond or 27 things that I hate about LTK etc so please 'stick with the programme.

I feel like there is a majority that feels that Craig is one of the best since Connery. That's not to say I was thrilled when I first heard Craig had assumed the mantle because I wasn't. To me, he was the very antithesis of Bond. But Mr. Craig surprised me. He suspended my disbelief and made me buy him as Bond. I suppose it was his acting chops, but I totally bought Craig as a former arrogant, SBS operative now working for SIS with a never quit attitude and a f**k the rules mentality. You are not alone!

I suppose a simple Poll might settle it. But as previously stated a binary yes/no or pro/anti would give me a real problem as I would genuinely struggle. I have come to believe that although the Actor playing Bond is a key factor,it on it's own is not decisive, as good Bonds have been in bad films. In the final analysis I'm not sure it really matters if this forum is predominantly in favour or not, as long as we are able to live with a plurality of views, and accept a little friendly leg pulling. For example I truly feel that Roger was a terrible Bond, wrong in almost as many ways as possible. However I also feel that LALD was a much better film than DAF. It's the complexity and the shades of grey that make it so fascinating.

I still haven't warmed up for Craig, he seems cold, unsexy, and I can't imagine Bond as a blond.
