Certina DS Action Diver (Rolex Submariner alternative)

A few days ago Certina has announced their new model, the DS Action Diver. The looks combine the Submariner and the Omega Planet Ocean design I think. Anyway - I'm 19, so it is currently impossible for me to buy an Omega Professional for example

So I was searching for a great alternative made by a good Swiss brand. What do you think about it?

I really like the watch.

Somehow it looks different enough from both the sub and PO, yet has ' the look'
I don't see people thinking your trying to get away with a moody.

It's a nice looking watch. It's not an out and out copy of a sub or seamaster - so that's alright by me! I hate copies of those two almost as much as I hate fakes. I think it would look good with a black rubber diver's strap as well.

I was thinking about a NATO strap. About the copies: I hate FAKES, but buying something looking similar to the Submariner is justified by the price (Submariner costs about 5k pounds, right?).

A guy from this forum told me about this brand, their watches look really good and are Swiss made, BUT, where is the border between inspiration and dumb copying, what you think? This particular one looks exactly like the Rolex Submariner...

My toughts:

Anything, that you are buying in the time, that you are on your way to a real sub is a waste of time and money. It's simply putting you back more than necessary when you are buying a compromise whatsoever.

Save your $$ until you have the funds for a real one.

Das ist nicht so leicht Bondtoys, I'm a type of a guy who can't live without a watch

My Festina is definitely a piece of crap so I'm looking for something better. I know that it's a waste of money, especially that if I had a chance to buy the real thing, I would chose an Omega. But anyway, I will think about it.
