Well first off, I am quoting from this site:

    www.the-tuxedo-guide.com/tom-ford-tuxedo.

"The Tom Ford tuxedo has become one of the must have tuxedos for all James Bond fans. This company made the clothing worn by Daniel Craig in the movie Quantum of Solace. Traditionally Bond has been dressed in Brioni, Saville Row, and a very small number of discreet tailors.

The Tom Ford tux is hand tailored with some of the finest fabrics in the world. All suits and tuxedos are custom made bespoke models created for high end customers willing to drop a several thousand dollars on their wardrobes.

Colors and styles come in any form a customer would like, but are generally purchased in classic colors that can be worn to all occasions and events one might attend...."

To be honest with you Tom, the only real way you will get an affordable version of the suit is to find a tailor you trust, and pay for a good quality facsimile. That's how I got my Casino R style dinner suit. - Also I caution you, the QoS style is retro, but it is also a modern "of the moment" fashion statement. - Not everyone will look good in it. Even if you do, fashion fad clothes date faster than putrifying bananas. Another reason to go for a classic style.

Look for local tailors, shop around to get different prices, and also consider what looks right on you. Once you find a tailor, listen to their advice too, and consider all options carefully.

Phew! I hope that helps a bit!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Not sure what exactly you want to know. Style, cut, details, where to buy? Anyway, they basically went back to Dr No with it. Midnight blue fabric with shawl lapel with turn back cuffs with a pleated shirt. They did put side vents on the jacket which I'm not sure if the Dr No jacket had or not, I doubt it though. Side vents are one of those things that some people feel are out of place on a dinner jacket, but it's just personal preference at this point. Also they used a diamond point tie.

Hi, I would be interested in the details(couldn't find much myself), and if the model has a particular name etc.

I'd also add it's a one button jacket; a satin shawl collar; a satin cummerbund; no studs, just buttons; smaller diamond ended satin bow tie.

I'd watch that unless you are quite slim the smaller bow ties as seen in CR and QOS can look a little out of place.

The major differences between the Dr. No and QoS dinner suits are:
No cummerbund in DN, Cummerbund in QoS
Double forward-pleated trousers in DN, Flat front trousers in QoS

    Both had double vents.

Mac, I don't think Daniel Craig's bow tie in QoS is slim at all. Whilst it is a batwing and not a butterfly shape, it's the classic size for a batwing. Nothing wrong there. Too bad we don't see more batwing bow ties, and especially ones with a diamond end. I have a grosgrain butterfly diamond-end bow tie. The CR bow tie is much thinner compared to what Brosnan wore, but it's still meatier than Connery's and Dalton's.

The QOS tuxedo is a fairly popular style and can be found through most retailers. The tuxedo is one button, satin shawl and cocktail cuffs, flat-front pants with satin accents, accompanied by a diamond cut bow tie. If you google "shawl collar tuxedo," it'll bring up pages and pages of places where you can get one. If you're after a Tom Ford tuxedo you could go to one of his boutiques, but plan on spending around $3,000+ for a tuxedo.

Some Tom Ford suits go for 10 000$ (but he's not the most expensive in NYC : Hermès sells suits for 20 000$ +). Loro Piana also has nice fabrics, but for sweaters mostly.

I prefer the Brioni tuxedo from Casino Royale.
