Moonraker SD Studios - how do I display it?

Hi all, as you can see, this is my latest acquisition. It has never been displayed before and the strap hasn't even been put on! I'm in two minds how to display it really but the plaque is attached to the wooden plinth so I guess I will display it all in the walnut box.

I'm insure how the pieces layout in relation to the pins though? Presumably the cassette box goes on the two pins on the left hand side, as they are lower?? If that's the case, how does the gun go on the plinth? All the publicity material I have for these SD pieces just show the items laid out on the velvet lining with no plinth evident - hence why I am stuck

Any advice would be greatly received

Many thanks, Chris

    Make sure you keep the thing out of sunlight, Chris, if you are displaying it.
    Like you stated, it has NEVER been on display and is pretty much mint!

    My personal viewpoint is to keep it as mint as possible for future generations and possible future sale, and not display it, but that's just me.

    The piece was in my possession for many years - hopefully you will have the same enjoyment of ownership as I.
    I doubt you will ever find another piece like this one in as good a condition.

    Enjoy!

    Adam

    It looks to me to be a 2nd Gen Dartgun, it was issued on the wooden plaque, the strap goes around the 2 pins, the case was issued with all first Gen items like the GG, DG and Breather, id say the case is worth far more than the DG itself ;)

    A good friend once said to me, if you don't display it and enjoy it, what is the point in having it -{

    Thanks for the advice guys. I thought it was a pretty good deal given it included the case as well. I have a 1st gen Golden Gun on a plinth in a display case I made for it. I may swap them over, as I think the wrist dart gun will fit snugly into that. Either way, they will all stay on display but I probably won't put the strap on it.

    Have no fear about sunlight. The room where I keep my collection has a north facing window so is cool and only gets minimal daylight rather than direct sunlight

    Cheers guys -{

    As you can see guys, I think I have found the happy medium - displaying it but not opening the packaged strap or applying the strap irreversibly.
    I have kept the bag that the main part of the gun was in too (its under the sponge)

    As you can see, I have added a sheet of acrylic to the plaque, only held on by location holes on the original mounting pins. The components are then held to this acrylic sheet by thin wires. The wires are tied at the back and small amounts of white tack cover the ends of the wires - thus preventing the plaque from getting scratched, and securing the acrylic to the plaque
