FE first a small note that I hope the QA is better next time…and that I hope you have learned that having things done in china is not always easy and fun so next time do it some other place… then next I don’t hope you are go-ing o redo all the SD props… but then again the FRWL Attache Case is very very nice….and the Solex Agitator would be nice next to GG.

We don't choose China as a manufacturing location for fun or ease. We do it because they produce product on time to a good price and to a high standard. But we don't just use China. We manufacture all over the world and have over 15 years of manufacturing experience in the collectibles business. If I could use domestic or other locations to produce Bond products we would, gladly.
To date I have not been able to find vendors in the US or Europe who are willing to commit to produce prop replicas of this type to a deadline and a fixed price. Hand making runs of 10 or 20 is not problem, even a few hundred, but 500+ produced consistently as commercial product, packaged, with all the relevant testing insurance etc is an entirely different discipline. We have had insane situations where vendors have quoted prices to assemble and pack a product that are 2 or 3 times the costs they are quoting to produce the actual product itself. The reason is usually because they are outsourcing that element.
Seriously - If there is anybody out there reading this who has the capability wants to quote to produce these things then get in touch. I have a backlog of products I want to get going and PO's I want to write.
Lets stop China-bashing

China is not easy to work with – often as you have experiment parts of a potential production is outsources to others who don’t care… please tell if you have been happy with the issues on the GG and when you have stated that you in the future would inspect every parts I think this indicates that you are not happy with the QA. Another problem with China is the communication (bad at English) and mentality… it is not easy to operate there.
But Barry, we all know that you are doing the SPECTRE rings and honesty you could have had us do it for you…no problems even 1000 for a fireprice. While taking rings have you now seen that TB and YOLT is not the same ring and that there where no rings in NSNA that you stated…

But honestly Barry you can PM with projects and we will make you an offer.
At the end of the day the brand owner, EON/Danjaq dictates 100% what we produce and how we produce it. We have an excellent relationship with them and item selection is a collaborative exercise. They always ask us what fans think and what public opinion on certain items is. But when they say 'we would really like to see this' its sensible for us to listen to them
At the end of the day who asks you what fans want, Baz? :v

We will gladly have you quote for future projects and will be very interested to see the results.
The FRWL ring is already in production, but as stated its only the first of a series of the different SPECTRE rings (we hope) and only the official EON rings. We are not even allowed to mention the movie that must not be named.
Thx Barry that's very clear.... And as ever, very cordial...
I replied to the question asked....if I'd misread it as " blank sheet of paper, tell Santa what you want" it would have been different...
I agree with sruzgar....the cr defib is a definite yes, and if it's not at comicon when i get there someone will be needing A real defib
In fact, I'm certain Pete would be keen if you could make it actually work, as it'd be useful in his bedroom activities .... :v
Also, pleased others seem to agree with me that doing the SD studios cat is naff...
The case is different, and while other owners might be miffed that you could damage the SD versions (stratospheric value) I for one will be content to buy yours as well.
Watch for weak hands dumping their SD case - your best chance to pick one up Kan
1. Largo/SPECTRE cigarette case door opening device from Thunderball.
2. A convincing Donald Grant manual wind garotte watch with the correct details from FRWL. EON must have the blueprints somewhere!
3. Since I have the short and tall versions of Bond's Dunhill Broadboy lighter, how about the Cigarette case.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.
"People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." Richard Grenier after George Orwell, Washington Times 1993.
But the attache case needs to be real world useable. Not just a delicate display prop. The Solex Agitator always seemed cool as a possible future technology. At least back then.
Everyone seems to like the idea of a FRWL attache case. But if the GG was $500.00 then what's this thing going to cost? $1,000.00, $1,200.00?? A lot of money for a replica.
How does one display such a large item?
Do you let it sit out on a table top and collect dust?
Do you hide it in the closet so it doesn't get dusty? That's no fun!
OR will FE release it with a protective display case as with the GG and Jaws teeth?
That seems impractical.
At this time I think I'll have to pass on the idea of the attache case.

Items I would like to see made.
Goldeneye grenade pen
Casino Royale Defibralator
From Russia With Love Attache Case, also I would not not mind seeing the throwing knives sold spearately
Thunderball SPECTRE ring
You Only Live Twice Cigarette rocket
The Living Daylights Death to Spies tag and carabeener
The attache case is number one for me. Followed by the Solex and then the various specialty guns. I would like to see the non-SD things come first...items that have not been produced before are the most appealing to me.

Actually an excellent point and one we have cogitated over a lot for this item. As you say it is impossible to consider a factory supplied acrylic case for this. The shipping alone would be catastrophic as the case would need to be impractically huge.
The original prop case was really designed to be a functional prop and is probably best displayed exactly as Danjaq_Off has shown, open with goodies inside. Or perhaps even used.....:D:D:D
Will people be disappointed if a replica case is supplied without any form of display? Would people be interested in some form of folding dust shield? My opinion is that such a thing will ruin the aesthetic look of the piece and no matter how well designed will look tacky. Based on its size and the shape and format this piece would be best displayed in a glass cabinet, and dusting will just be a necessary evil. But would love to hear your everyone's thoughts.
BTW there are some excellent suggestions here. All taken on board.
Except;
Goldfinger Gold Bar - Because the prop has a Swastika and Nazi Eagle emblem on it there are issues with producing it commercially. Legally there are restrictions on shipping items with those symbols to many locations but perhaps more importantly, ethically we are just not comfortable producing anything that contains symbols of such a sensitive nature.
TND - Multi-Function Phone. Was Ericsson branded, so sadly a no go
The rest are either already on, or are suitable candidates for our 'potentials' list which currently runs to to over 50 items :-)
We'd all like the briefcase, thats obvious, but manufacturing, cost and shipping considerations would make this a really difficult proposition I think. I noticed with the last release that there were 3 levels of replica that allowed anybody to be able to be able to purchase at least one. So with that in mind I would suggest the following.
Level one: Collection of operation files: Thunderball, Bedlam, Undertow and Trove. I know they weren't seen to any great extent but I'm sure Eon could provide enough info to make them look genuine. It would also give the chap who did the tarot cards something to contribute.
Level two: Spectre ring in 9 or 18 kt gold. I don't want my finger turning green while I wear it (and I would).

I think most collectors would be happy to obtain a quality unbranded replica of the Ericsson JB988 Gadget phone. As an owner of an original prop I would be happy to have a 99.9% accurate copy sitting next to it which incorporated all the screen functions.
