Possible Bond Gathering in California

Folks, I was seriously considering going to the San Diego Comic Con this year for a variety of reasons (Bond being one) and thought if others would be in attendance we could possible use the event/proximity to have a get together. Nothing overly formal or grandiose, but perhaps a dinner, crowd around the FE booth, pictures all together...yada yada...so, who might be going an interested?

I'm down. Gotta find tickets first! They've been totally sold out for months! Anyone selling?

I travel to San Diego quite a bit so I would be interested in maybe a dinner or cocktail gathering.

The mean old Comic-Con people won't allow us to give out Vodka Martini's -{ ... but we will make any and all visitors most welcome at the Factory Booth. We may even find some prizes for the best Bond costumes... there has not been enough Bond in evidence on the floor at SDCC in recent years, and that should definitely change.

Our location is booth #3751 See you there July 21-24th (Preview Night 20th)

(Tickets for the event as in most years now 100% sold out)

Does anything like this happen in the UK? I'd love a gathering of fellow Bond fans, it sounds cool. I live near Manchester but to be fair, London is 2hrs away on the train.
    Of course you are

Great idea, David!! I will be there Thursday through Saturday (most likely), so I'm definitely interested in meeting up with any members here who might be going.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

I would be interested if I can find a ticket. I read that sometimes additional tickets are sold closer to the event date. I don't know if it's true but I will be checking the SDCC site.

I'll bring the BMW, which was on display at SDCC's smaller cousin in Anaheim last month.

    David,
Forgive me for not being English, but I find your sense of humour sometimes hard to follow...

What is the date of the convention?
I am in San Francisco, and if I cannot come down, perhaps a few fo you could fly up here to see the OHMSSDBS.
The car will debut on 6/26 at the Stanford Concours in Palo Alto (30min south of SFO)

    What say you?

Hey Tom, know what u mean abt mantis' sense of humor impossible to follow ... Indeed his wife has an apb out for it's arrest if it ever shows up again....

I might pop up to see the Stanford concours and ur DBS anyway, but if u can make it down here (LA or better sanD if we can get tickets) be great to cya

    I'll let you know...

In the meantime guys, are we really gonna let the issue of a few tickets to this geekfest get in the way of a party?....

I went in 2008 and just turned up on the day...

Are we sure the wookies are so much larger in number these days that there will be no on the day sales? The center is huge and i doubt there are enough wookies on the planet to fill it every day...

Anyway I have an idea (though seeing there was no offer by FE to help the cause I may draw a blank too...)

Any chance of a firm no of tickets I need to get?
