    If you look at the opening post it was edited after I posted to include the fact that they're not the same model sunglasses as the QoS version.

    mishtabond its a bit off to edit your post thus trying to make a fellow forum member look an idiot when you are the one at fault 8-)

    I think they look pretty cool & 90% identical to the 108s, except for the added bridge bar. They look like a good alternative for Bond fans who can't find or afford the 108s. I suppose you could also buy the 207s & remove the extra bar to make them screen-accurate (if you're brave enough to modify $200 Tom Ford sunglasses).

    There's the Tom Ford 'Mathias' sunglasses. No connection to bond at all but a cool pair of sunglasses. They come in various colours including a similar blue to the Bond ones.

    I've picked up the William. Bought them on Beyond The Rack for $200. Other then the bridge bar, they seem to be identical. A great alternative to the 108's. You can barely notice the bridge bar either.

    Oh you got me! This post was to share a good deal on a pair of shades, not to provide a stomping ground to start petty arguments over minute details and false information.

    @007 and a half

    "hence" was a reference to the quote in the link: "The Tom Ford William (TF207) aviators are the replacement model for the best selling Tom Ford aviator the James Bond 007 (Model TF108). "
    not the quote in the original post which I added later..... I imagined you could read once following it..but since you failed to do this I added the quote to avoid further confusion with other members. Perhaps i should have had the foresight to reference you in my correction but it seems I didn't pay enough attention because THIS IS JUST A FORUM ON THE INTERNET AND WHO CARES ENOUGH TO MAKE A FUSS.

    If you look at the timestamp on this post you will see that it is edited & also that no one gives a sh-it.

    Well you obviously do otherwise you wouldn't have thrown your dolly out the pram with your post above.

    I stand by my previous comment and think it is a bit off that you edited the post in the manner in which you did.

    My post above is a response to my disbelief in the need for some users to nitpick about 1/2 of the posts on this forum for slight error, do-wronging, and incorrect grammar.... turning helpful topics into troll-a-thons.

    as well as trying to point out that I had no original intention of slighting anyone with a dab of "it doesnt matter."

    Sadly a member above felt otherwise and my perception of it also 'felt otherwise'. And now you are making a mountain out of a molehill 8-) You also say it 'doesn't matter' yet you persist to throw your dolly out of the pram :(|)

    Moving on...

    The sunglasses are rather nice but not the model used in QoS. On the subject of these sunglasses I find Tom Ford's designing to be a little lazy since they appear only to be a slightly modified version of previous model. For the price I think I'd rather hunt a QoS pair down somewhere.

    Tom Ford sunglasses weren't worn in Casino Royale either although the title of this thread suggests they were :s.

    As for trying to insult people by saying they're acting like 11 year olds, I'd look in the mirror first if I were you.

    Maybe a nerve was hit because you cannot take criticism.

    Get your facts correct before you slate other people for giving the correct information is my advice.

    All I did was mention the fact that they were the incorrect version and you could have said fair enough, but you edited your opening post and tried to make it look as though your were being criticised.

    You've made a very small amounts of posts on this forum and accuse people of trolling which is odd as you've been a member for over a year but hardly contributed yourself.

    Stop crying and take it on the chin that others were trying to help you out by giving the right info and grow up sunshine.

    And done

    @007 and a half

    There was no intention of making you look like an ass, i understand how you could have perceived it this way but the "slight" against you is completely non-existent. i edited the original so no one else would have the same problem. Should have ended there.

    @nms75

    I like the originals better as well but for $180 i think most wont mind compared to $500+.

    Considering the large numbers of TF108s made and sold its madness for the prices they now fetch on eBay etc. I think quite of a few of these will filter back on the market in the future bringing the price down eventually.

    we can hope, i can remember when the original run was coming to an end and they were being sold for <$200. I should have grabbed some then.
