Is this letter real?

This letter is supposedly from Sean Connery to Steve Jobs. Anybody have any idea how genuine it is?

Hmmmm. . .I have a hard time imagining Connery ever saying he is James Bond (adjective omitted). For that reason alone, I'd say it's a fake. . .

It's now known this is a hoax, but file it under 'wish it were true' stuff. Not least Connery showing there's life in the old dog... I also checked out his new website, which mainly seems designed to flog his wife's art, and doesn't look very masculine. Still a shame his last film is League of Ex Gentlemen, you'd think a 10-minute, lucrative cameo would be in order to change all that.

Also Connery's ego is too huge to limit himself to merely being James Bond, he regards himself (not without some justification) as an ACTOR.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thought it was real in the first place. From all I have read about Connery, he wouldn't have bothered to respond at all. Al least not personally.
