A new 007 video game is in the works at Activision, with a release date scheduled for the second half of 2011.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing revealed on a shareholder conference call that further details will be available at E3, stating: "I'm looking forward to updating you on our plans and performance as this exciting year unfolds. And we'll have a lot more details on our upcoming releases to share with you in the coming weeks and in E3."
An exact release date is yet to be revealed. Prior to the official word, several leaked photos were found online depicting a possible new game in the Bond series currently being developed by Activision's studio, Raven Software.
Like Blood Stone, this iteration appears to be played from the third-person perspective and could include tactical combat similar to recent releases in the Splinter Cell series.
Not much else is currently known about the status of the game including if it's a straight sequel to Blood Stone or not. As of 2012, when Bond 23 is announced, it is also expected that Activision would release a game based on it.

As for support on Nintendo systems, now that the WiiU has been announced I'd expect new 3rd party releases for the Wii (which historically have never sold well anyway) slow to a trickle, so a new Bond game may be a longshot. A 3DS version is probably a safe bet as that seems to be Nintendo's preferred platform right now.
I just hope we get something a little more polished. While Bloodstone was a major improvement over Quantum, it was in many ways still a pretty generic 3rd person shooter with a few fairly forgettable driving levels. Throw in some more interesting level designs, give Bond a few gadgets and put a little more effort into the between level cinematics (the facial models in Bloodstone were just plain scary).
I can't wait to see what they have instore for us.
I wouldn't get my hopes up for ever seeing the N64 version of GoldenEye again. To many companies have there hand in it. There is ONE possible way though. If Microsoft were to get a hold of the Bond Video Game License when Activision loses it. But still I wouldn't hold my breath.
