Im 99.9% sure ive managed to buy the Waterman pen Scaramanga writes with (i.e. the smaller / thinner diameter screen used one) that was not the barrel.
have a look at the photos in Texas007's scaramanaga pen post thread!
Very cool pen dusky -{ if you get fed up with it, I would swap for the sd pen
Third offer of that today...... LOL
It appears my sexy new pen has raised some pulses.
Well, hopefully now I have confirmed the model etc, you should all be able to start tracking them down. They are very very rare though.
So, as a thankyou for answering the pen model question, could anyone provide some dimensions of the 2nd gen SD pen, of the main body, pen cap and the the smaller end cap? please????

PS, approximate Waterman dims are:
It measures 141mm capped, and 161mm posted. It has a 12mm diameter at the thickest point. (dont have any more details until it turns up).
well it is now Markus, now that I have my square **** dusky I will offer the pen and a look at the blueprint:D no pics, but you can take the dims, oh I could throw in a trigger cufflink too :007)

Close, but no cigar, Mr Danjaq.
Kind as your offer is, i need little more help than a "fleeting glimpse" at the plans... I need to be able to get enough info to detail up the build, which reading between the lines, youre not offering, or could I make some notes (if photos are banned by the **** spoil-sport??)
Lets just say I have a flurry of dimensions and details enroute over the next week..... Im not saying I wont need further help or advice from these forums, but hopefully my happy helpers will get me 95%+ of the way there.
Not that Im ungrateful of your "focussed" offer of relieveing me of my pen! , but I have found a few people to assist on goodwill alone, which I am most grateful for (thanks guys, if youre reading this).
Im just keen to crack on with the actual larger barrel pen, as its a simpler design than other bits, hence the needs for dims ASAP.
Im not saying no to anyone on the Waterman pen (to the other 2 people who have also expressed an interest), but I havent even received it yet and everyone's trying to nab it off me!! I need to measure and photos etc before I consider parting with it. -{
Plus ive already had a much better offer than yours, and you never even offer to throw in a few buttplugs or a rubber fist.... youre just a stingy bu66er!
Dusktilldawn, hope, that you don't mind some open words.
I personally own a 2nd gen GG but so far did not reply to your requests. I may sound super-arrogant and not helpful at all but here are my thoughts:
I have been approached several times buy newbies to disclose the dimensions of my SD items and so far, I have refused.
We had people here who wanted to blatantly copy SD Studios items and sell in higher quantities.
Additionally, all owners of an SD Studios GG paid a lot of money for their items and maybe don't like to have theirr treasured items being copied.
You say, that you want to make a 1-off item, how can we sure, that that's the case.?
I am aware, that if you manage to buy a 2nd gen. GG, you can do with it whatever you want.
So - besides all open questions the main reason for not replying to your questions is simply time: I don't have the time and the mood to pulling out my gun to take detailed pics and I don't have the tools to measure it really precisely. And I am sure, that with the amount of your questions, I have to pull it out at least 10 times to give you all replies that you want.
Generally, this is a very friendly forum - problem is that you are new and we are not really certain about your motives and goals and that's why some of us are careful with infos.
So far, it seems to me, that you only came to here to get informations for your project - sharing your infos about your pen is a first step.
Give us some time to know you a bit better. If one is sure, that they can call you a friend, there will be help out there.

Markus,
I dont think you are arrogant, and I understand you apprehensions. Some open words welcomed and noted.
In response:
From my point of view its a little frustrating when I know everything I need is in your amazing collections, or in the case of one "Mr Danjaq", a huge amount of knowledge in his noggin (head)...... LOL. But I am patient, just also a little too eager at times.
Im here for a bit of banter (as myself and Danjaq seem to be enjoying), but ultimately I would like to make some trustworthy acquaintances who can give me some great advice. Although I don't know any of you, I entirely trust what im being told on these forums. You have all lived and breathed these items for much longer than my new recent little obsession...... Although I hope to be credited as making up for lost time with my efforts!
So, whilst I appreciate your comments, its all a bit "chicken and egg", if you are familiar with such a phrase in Germany.
I have very limited resources to share my end other than 400+ photos and files I have managed to find on the web (by the way, if anyone wants these resources, I can post these on the web somewhere, but in a private invite only file). I have spent literally weeks doing all this research, so I wont be sharing this massive resource to people who aren't prepared to help me out a little along the way with the knowledge they have. I think this is fair and reasonable.
I note your comments about my new pen acquisition, but I could have been a complete B8stard and used this as a carrot on a string to try and "lever" info out of people, but within a few hours of having it dispatched to me, I have posted EVERYTHING I know about it, including the limited dims I have and model number etc. To my knowledge, nobody on AJB007 or any other Bond forums had managed to identify the pen. I hope the info I have shared enables other collectors to track down pens for their movie prop collections I'm here to give back to the AJB007 community whenever I have new or previously unknown information to share.
I dont see what else I can do to prove Im a genuine fan with genuine intension?!?! Again, I understand some people will want more time to form opinions about my project. Unfortunately for me that means twiddling my thumbs or sitting here with a thumb (or ****) up my A55 for the a while....... I keen to get out and start getting material and tools etc!!!:D
Newbie.... Yes.
Mass producing? Er, No...... Be lucky if I can make one at this rate!
Producing one GG for my own pleasure? Probably not without some more help.....
Im being as open as I can with what I have this end, just hoping a few people do the same for me.
If you could see the assistance and correspondence I have been getting privately by email, you may be a little more trustworthy and open to helping me, but I have been asked to keep these persons identities disclosed, which I shall honor.
I totally appreciate the money people have invested in buying SD guns, but lets be realistic, SD's are completely out of financial reach for most people, IF OR WHEN they actually come up for sale, which doesnt really seem to happen. Regardless of if my build was 100% to an SD gun, it will NEVER be an SD gun, have the plaque, paperwork or authenticity. I dont think you have much to worry about here...... Im not sure my build quality could come close, but I wanna have a go anyway!
On the time thing, I wrote and emailed waterman and Colibri and several other sources for assistance, to no avail. I then spent hours and hours trawling the internat for images and info. I hit pen collectors websites, image search engines etc to try and find that s0dding thing. Then delivered the info straight to this community as fast as I could log onto the forum. So yes, I appreciate it might be a bit of a pain but Its not like im not trying from my end.......
Anyhow.....
Nothing ventured, nothing gained...!!! The build must happen!!!!:D

Out of curiosity, where do you live, pete?

Blimey, those extra fingers must be handy to put a GG together with!
So, along with your good self, who else tops the knowledge charts on AJB007 about the GG?
