Perhaps some of you folks have seen this before, but it's new to me. Pretty amusing!

    Great stuff! Mind you, those other actors seem to be chosen to show how Lazenby wasn't so bad after all... they're awful.

    The other thread about Bond's best women has some great, rarely seen photos too. -{

    I'm glad you enjoyed it, and pleased I was able to contribute something to the forum without stirring up any trouble (so far!)

    By the way, I have to agree with Napoleon. The other dudes are absolutely dreadful! They all come across as trying too damned hard! All except for George Lazenby who seems relaxed, confident, and slightly bemused. Compared to those posers, Lazenby is practically Sean Connery!

    Ha, amazing ! How could they possibly have considered any of those guys except for Lazenby ?

    Who ARE the other actors? And who is the actress?

    I just found out:
    Robert Campbell, Antony Rogers, Hans De Vries, George Lazenby and John Richardson.
    But who is the woman?

    I've replied to this elsewhere, but while Lazenby was undeniably brilliant in the finished film, I wonder whether this isn't prejudicing the view of these black and white still lifes?

    Okay, some of the others do look amazingly dubious, particularly as replacements for the Sean Connery model - Richardson looks unbelievably skinny, De Fries stocky and nothing special, and Rodgers, erm, 'unusual'.

    But Robert Campbell has a really good Bondian look and certainly - on appearance alone - wouldn't have upset me had he been cast and not Lazenby. Indeed, with the arse Lazenby became and problems he gave EON, I wonder if the filmakers regretted not casting Campbell after all....:o

    Yeah, fair enough, though Campbell doesn't get a great shot really, you don't get a total impression of him. But yeah, he looks good enough, haircut a bit manky in some shots, but he has a Brosnan feel about him. And Lazenby, in the final shot, looks pretty old for his 29 years, could pass for 50! All have that male model, empty poseur look of 1960s ads.
