    i emailed them this "are there any pics of that magnum in Roger Moore's hands? just curious because it looks like a modern C02 revolver with black grips rather then the brown grips that Roger's had."

    you shoulda gone with;

    dear sir/madam

    it has come to my attention, while browsing your website that it is in fact full of $hit, errors and misleading legal guidence.

    your rip off events, over inflated insurance estimates and claims to be a genuine re-enactment society are at best flawed, and at worst down right insulting to anyone with an ounce of common sense.

    it would be most gracious of you to explain why a rubber stunt ppk is valued at a quarter of a million pounds, or why it costs ten thousand pounds to drive my own car round the UK for YOUR advertising benefits.

    i doubt you will explain yourself though, in which case you can go and enter your nuts into the nearest cooking utensil, preferably a garlic press.

    (up) yours,

    mr pissed off bond fan.

    further more, the NAReS website states;

    "It has become the norm as we approach our twentieth anniversary that the police and licensing authorities grow ever more aware of our stance and influence throughout the hobby. In their view, people in a group affiliated to NAReS are more likely to be properly trained, competent and trustworthy. This is partly due to our stringent entry rules and partly as membership of the Association is perceived as something of a “coming of age”. It is perfectly possible that, within a few years, it will not be possible to get a license without the group to which the applicant belongs being in NAReS membership."

    would this imply that to become a member of the beingbond.con society, one would have to undertake some form of vetting or entry exam?

    again, membership to a re-enacting society that doesn't re-enact anything, or vet its members, provide training in the use and handling of firearms or request members to undertake any safety briefing at all would hardly stand up in court as a suitable and solid defence as to why you own several RIF's.

    it would appear to me that the beingbond membership serves very little if any purpose at all, and its affiliation with the NAReS has been obtained by beingbond.con not giving the NAReS the full story of its [beingbond's] intentions as a registered society with the NAReS.

    if anyone wants the legal right to buy or deal in RIF's, I can offer the same service. simply send me £40 (yes thats a tenner cheaper) to me, in return for membership to my society. i'll offer no guidence, training or advice, you dont need to turn up to any re-enacting (i dont do any anyway) and you won't need to participate in any safety briefing.

    oh and if you get caught with any illegal guns in your possession, you're on your own.

    so thats the same friendly useful service as beingbond.con, just ten quid cheaper.

    who's with me?

    anyone?

    no?

    One thing which needs to be pointed out is starting with Casino Royale in 2006 EON made it clear to all crew members that prop items would no longer be gifted. Previous to this it was possible for a crew members to obtain "souvenirs" from the productions they worked on so simply put an individual would not be able to legally obtain "properties" from B21 or B22 no matter what collectors society they may belong to. Incidently the rubber stunt PPK on Quantum of Solace was a Walther PPK not a PPKS....close but no cigar!
    Don't get me started on the Umarex S&W magnum 44 revolver created a good 32 years after RM's 1st outing as J.Bond in Live & Let Die.

    can you identify anything other of the supposed "hero" guns that are fake,i noticed they also have a S&W Model 15 claiming it was used in DAD but i thought that was just a S&W model 10 that Bond used

    All I will say is the Smith & Wesson revolvers utilised on Live & Let Die by J.W. Pepper and RM in publicity photos were the same model of revolver utilised in the Gene Therapy Clinic in Die Another Day....

    i've actually looked back through my emails and found the reply I had from someone at the NAReS.

    i'd asked the NAReS if beingbond.con was a member of their scoiety and if I was a member of beingbond.con, what would I be able to legally purchase and hold?

    the answer I got back was basically 'yes, jack's club is affiliated to the NAReS, here's his email address, I'm sure he can help you out with being a member.'

    so as to what being a member allows you legally do, god knows. avoiding answering the question doesn't instil much confidence....

    I wouldn't trust the guy full stop, all the lies about his Armory is enough to put me off, I just don't see why people feel the need to mislead others, it is a shame as I would have joined if it helped me gain access to air soft without being pretty colours :D
