A cool E-type jaguar model?

Not really 007, but does anyone know what might be the best toy model of an E-type jag?

Might it be this one?

Does anyone know of a better one?

Lippe had one in TB didn't he? At Shrublands anyway, but so far the Collection hasn't featured it.

Wasn't that E-Type a coupe and not a convertible? Franklin Mint made an okay one (which I have). My only complaint w/FM models are the chunky, molded spoke wheels. However, it is red like the one in TB. Here's an image:

If you're inclinded to build a kit, Monogram made a fantastic 1/8th XKE a while back, which I built as a kid. It has opening doors, hood, etc. and even the windows crank work. I think the kit has been reissued a few times too.

The model in the photo looks like the 1/18 Bburago one. If so, it is far from the best, although it's certainly amongst the largest. Did you notice the lack of winscreen wipers? Some of the Bburago models miss them altogether, others have them painted on the windscreen. Painted wipers look bad enough in 1/43, and in 1/18 are simply not acceptable. And the spoke wheels are not nearly as good as the "chunky" ones on Franklin Mint. I have both the coupe and convertible by Franklin Mint, and they are both very nice.

And you should ... as THAT E-Type (we're talking of the red one in TB in the Shrublands parking lot 8-) - don't think it belongs to Lippe who drove the Skyliner) was indeed a coupe.

NP, i'd take the 1/43 (same size as the car collection) from Kyosho.

    Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

This morning I took a real E-type out on the circuit on Goodwood for three laps. Great stuff!

I've driven goodwood circuit a few times , great track - nice surface and some great straights

How u enjoy the e-type on it though nap?

I was so dissapointed when I got behind one - for a car with a super tanker bonnet, I expected to be able to lie down f1 style!

    Had to bend my legs!!

Here's a snap of my Franklin Mint XKE, along with other Brit vehicles. There was no room in the group for the 1/24th DB5! Note the Bond and Goldfinger figures by Gilbert Toys. Sorry for not dusting the models!
