The Indian Style is popular nowadays! You could search some style from internet for reference! Or you could go to buy in the shop, there are so many accessories in Indian style will fit you!
NIne months? Sounds like your doing some buisness with sightseeing in your spare time. For suiting it, you need either a tropical worsted number or something in a linen blend. Don't get all linen - you'll look like you slept it in after five minutes (unless you don't move a muscle!). Same goes with casual shirts and or shirts. India is hot and humid, and looking cool and classy is difficult to pull off in these type of climates (in movies they can change into identical fresh clothes after every scene, we cant!). Jeans? Like having hot cloth stuck to your legs all day? Forget them (they weigh too much in a suitcase anyway). Stick with light colors of course, khakis, white, off whites, very light greys or pastels. Dark clothes just look out of place in sunny hot climates Take many changes of underwear (cotton or sweat absorbing materials like Under Armor makes). Sandles are pretty common, so get comfy ones if your going to be on your feet a lot. Some advise to steer clear of any leather materials (belts, shoes or sandals), since many in that country frown on things made from one of their sacred animals, so you can substitute with ones made from canvas (you could try imitation leather, but how many times a day do you want to say "Hey, it's not REAL leather, honestly!"). This may or may not be as important as it used to be. If in doubt, ask someone who is from there. Remember, its fun to try and dress like Bond or Indiana Jones (where's my Stetson?) when travelling to these type of countries, but do so with a dose of reality check. I remember someone who wanted to give off the Jones look when they went to Egypt. All they did was complain about how hard it was to carry around the Stetson when they were indoors leaving them with only one free hand - and packing it was out of the question.

Good, except sandals are a style hell no.
Canvas is okay, but let it air out when you take them off. Leather minus socks is a good option that many people don't consider, but many companies make powders and such just for that, so you can lose the insulation of socks. I don't like it, but many do. They also make those socks for just the sole and toes where it doesn't go to the ankle if you prefer the socks (which I think lets the shoe live nicer).
Beyond that, dress like Bond did on the boat in Italy in CR or in the opening in Madagascar or like Haiti scenes in QoS. And Tom Ford says NEVER wear shorts in the city.
An article from a site that I like about men's styling in heat:
I have good experience with Sunspel cellular underwear T-Shirts under business-Shirts.
In my experience, the additional layer catches some extra sweat (instead of soaking the shirt) and the material breathes pretty well when it's really hot.

But personally I would go for one of the linen suits from Casino Royale. There was a navy blue and a light grey later on.
