Stoli is great but I prefer Ketel One, wanna try some 360 vodka, heard very good things.
I usually prefer Central and Eastern European vodkas, but I must admit Ketel One is very, very good. It's a really good base for a vodka martini.
I also have read some promising reviews of 360, but as far as I know it's not sold locally.

Have any malt label preferences? Glenmorangie, McClelland's, Glenlivet, Knockando, Glenfiddich? Which vodka due you prefer? Since not being keen on the sweet drinks, do you smoke or used to smoke?
Yes, I like Glenmorangie.... as well as both Glenlivet and Glenfiddich. Not to mention Highland Park and Laphroaig
For a blended one, I enjoy Jonny Walker red label.... but I'm not fussy...Famous Grouse will do )
Vodka, well, if it's in a martini, then it's Stolli.... but I am a fan of Absolute Vodka too, although purists wouldn't agree. However, I was once spoilt when I spent an evening in the company of some Russian colleagues - and we drank the proper stuff... neat. It was one of those experiences I will never forget... and the best tasting vodka ever. -{
I would never say I smoked on a regular basis.... I'm one of those annoying people who can enjoy a cigarette here and there, however, it's been over 2 years now since I've smoked.
Good choices on the malts, but might I make a suggestion?
Try an ardbeg if you get a chance - the 70s casking are expensive but exceptional...but pretty much any ardbeg will knock your socks off.... And your undies - you do partake I suspect lex :007)
But this will seem strange....try the Japanese malts.... Suntory Yamasaki is my fav but Karuizawa is said to be better.... The Japanese bought loads of exceptional sherry casks in the 1990s and these are providing amazing single malts now, at reasonable prices...
On vodkas, you initiated the expected response ...
But most important of all, we're both casual social smokers... A rare breed it seems...
Our two-Tonic friend will be thinking you are the perfect woman lexi.. :v

Walker Red label is a comforting one (I'm not fussy as well). I've yet to try Grouse. I also like the Stolli. I like Grey Goose, but was surprised that it came out on top of an international taste test a few years back. Glad you haven't smoked for two years. The cost amazes me today. When I was a smoker, those little paper tubes were 33p for a packet of Senior Service or Players.
