40th Birthday approaching...

My 40th birthday is almost upon me, and my wife is looking for present ideas from the relatives and the kids. With a budget of up to £500 ($800), (possibly up to £1000), does anyone have any ideas, or even better, Bondian items they'd be willing to sell to make a young man feel less old? I have a Tom Ford Harrington, Madagascar shirt, Church's Ryder III's and Philip, Jack Purcell OTRs, Levi STA-PRESTs, Sunspel shirts, 7 For All Mankinds, and some Turnbull & Asser shirts. Any thoughts...?

Er... A pair of Oliver Peoples Airman and a bottle of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille? The glasses weren't screen used, but it is a quality pair used by Craig and inspired the Tom Fords as you probably know. Tobacco Vanille was supposedly the cologne they had Craig wear during filming...

You seem to have most of the stuff in that price range, but happy Birthday nonetheless!

Er... There aren't that many in that price range are there? At least not current models... I generally see them around $2000 when I browse the stores. Maybe I am just seeing a specific selection.

The quartz model (2nd hand) can be found for well under a grand. I picked up my Casino Royal auto for just over 1K

Thanks for the input guys. I actually have an automatic Seamaster already, but have had my heart set on a Planet Ocean since Royale. I don't think I can get one in budget, can I? I've tried Tobacco Vanille, and find it too sweet for me, and prefer and use Tuscan Leather. I'll look into the Oliver Peoples. I have a pair of Oliver Peoples Aviator-alikes that Brad Pitt wore in Ocean's Thirteen, and love them. Any other thoughts and suggestions, folks?

Yeah im also after the Planet Ocean, best ive seen (used obviously) in 1300 range.

I have the Tom Ford QoS shades but just recieved the OP airmans and wow they blow the TFs away quality and build wise.

Have you got Magnolis tie range?

Love the jacket, but I'm a bit oversubscribed in the jacket department! the shades look good. I have a pair of 2720's but always on the hunt for more! The case is vee cool, but all the clobber I've got, I use or wear regularly, and I don't know when I'd use it.

It's my favourite piece. I actually bought two other TF harringtons before - one like Danimal's http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/36529/tom-ford-harrington-jacket/, with the leather collar in black, and another like the screen-used on in brown, before buying the blue one from TF in NYC. But I buy Bond items to use, and they all get plenty of action!
